Ok...I know everyone loves Lynch and he is a really good pass rusher. Having said that Tuitt is really good and this kid could be great. He is an all around better player at this point than Lynch, although Lynch is a better pass rusher. This kids season seems to be going unnoticed, but he can ball!

I think they both have very high ceilings. Lynch has the sexier position/role (rushing the passer), but Tuitt is the more complete player at this point. Regardless, they will both be beastly in the coming years. (Of course, they are both doing well now!)

What do you think, two first round draft picks in 2014?

I brought this up in the gameday thread. Tuitt has played really well over the last few weeks. Very impressed with his versatility and growth over the first half of his first year.

Aaron came in early; Stephon did not. He had some catching up to do, and is now there. I still have the image of a bulldozing Stephon pushing the pile and the QB right into Aaron's grasp. Say, 30 or 40 times in their careers.

And occasionally escaping both only to be wiped out by Ishaq. The trenches are the most important unit on either side of the ball and I like where we are heading in this regard.

This young man has a motor that doesn't stop as soon as the ball is snapped he doesn't quit fighting till the whistle. This young man is going to have a great football career here.

This kid is a character. lol Sounds like a really good kid though.

By hunting, he must be referring to killing bears with his bare hands...

Can you imagine a 6'7 300 lb guy doing this?

It's funny because ND is sponsored by Addidas.

They made Clausen do something with the Addidas symbol on his taped ankle one game I recall so I wonder if they will make Tuitt photoshop the Addidas symbol over his hoodie.

I think he had his ankle taped or something and the tape covered the Adidas logo. Adidas asked that it be re-taped and Weis wasn't happy. The president or someone in ND agreed with redoing the tape job. It was something along those lines which is bullshit! I remember reading about it in an article about how hard it has been to win at ND because of all the things like that adding up. Basically not making it any easier.

As far as Stephon, kid is going to be something special off the field one day. Hopefully Miami will be a better team when his chance comes lol. At least he has dreams!

Jimmy messed up his ankle mid-game, it was taped and the tape covered the ADIDAS logo. Someone called down to Weis and told him to fix it an he pretty much said "F off." a few minutes later "a high-ranking university official" called him on the sideline and explained that it wasn't a request.
I wish he had still refused... This is one of the times I actually liked that dude.

Rumor is that he has mono, which means he will definitely miss the Stanford game and almost certainly the bowl game, as well.

Some guy on BGI is saying that Stephon still has mono and will not be making the trip to Stanford this weekend.

Haven't seen any confirmation of this, just repeating what is being said.

EDIT: lol you beat me to it Riddickulous.

Apparently he is in quarantine and none of the other players are allowed to be in contact with him.
