Guys he is still firm with the Cal and recent losses have really had no impact. He is super close with Zach Kline and he is constantly talking to Shaq about playing for the Bears next year.

Tim Prinster's II podcast yesterday mentioned that the staff may be slow-playing Ian Thomas because they think Treggs may flip (not exact words, but that's what he was eluding to). They did mention, however, that the staff initially had Ian Thomas ahead of Treggs on their board. He later said the reason could've been that they felt Treggs was such a long shot. I'm not holding my breath on this kid being our slot receiver, but I also don't think he's a lock to sign with Cal. Just my opinion. BTW, I love those podcasts. I just recently started listening to them each week.

Feels like he's just using us for the spotlight at this point, but I'll reserve judgment until after the visit.

Even if he "feels" committed to Cal, a great experience at ND can change his mind. They (Cal) had early recruiting momentum but are still sitting on seven total commits right now. Meanwhile, he is going to get a close look at the state of ND's program and hang out with a half dozen elite recruits who plan on heading there in 2012.
