willywavessvoxo @Truthh4 I feel it, It's a special place man, different than all the other colleges you prob been to, you'll love it.
^^^^This is what will set us apart from UGA. Love Mahone getting in Marshall's ear. Mahone, Darby, Shepherd, and Greenberry all may be our best recruiters for us.

I agree. Once a recruit gets on campus it usually changes the entire way he views ND. Just look at Mahone, he only reluctantly came for a visit, but once he got on campus we instantly became the favorites. I think we can make a big dent in Georgia's lead after KM's visit.

I really like that Darby and Mahone are getting into his ear. I think the walk to the stadium, a good game atmosphere, and other recruits getting into his ear will have him really thinking about Notre Dame. An Irish victory will have him sold

With Crowell being a freshman and doing well he wouldn't play as quick as he would if he comes to nd.

Why do you say that he's very competive from what I'm reading and studs usually want playing time asap.

Really want this guy and I hope he has an awesome experience at the USC game. A one two punch of Mahone and Marshall would be scary for the next four years.

More studs are seeing the value of splitting carries to stay fresh and lengthen careers. Getting pounded 25 - 30 carries per game is not what it use to be with 260 lb linebackers and 220 lb safeties more common every day in college and the norm in the NFL. Marshall has talked to this before, playing right away but splitting carries. Seems like an astute and self aware viewpoint to me.

This could be our first legit 5-star offensive player since Clausen and Floyd. Those two worked out pretty well for us.

If Keith were to commit, how would Kelly and co. work him in the offense next year? And do you guys think Mahone will split carries next year too.

If Cam Roberson is healthy next year, I don't see Mahone getting any action.

Marshall might see some touches out of the backfield as a change of pace type back. Maybe catch some balls also.

Marshall would be a strong possibility at KR (and PR if he can catch). He'd also get a handful of carries per game. Imagine him running a well-executed screen play. Just sick.

BK has shown he's not at all afraid of playing the freshman if they deserve it.

We've done a pretty good job ourselves of getting our RBs in space.

Cierre's averaging 5.5 yards per carry and Jonas 8.2.

Somewhat off topic but does it seem to everybody else like the Irish are putting a premium on recruiting big, physical wide receivers? I think Kelly and co. are seeking out players who can catch balls (of course) and clear out that second level for the running backs.

Reading the tea leaves, I think ND is going to put a huge emphasis on the running game going forward. I don't think it's ridiculous to believe that 4 or 5 running backs will see the field on a weekly basis next year.

That's pushing it.

Next year's class looks fun. Kelly is recruiting big, physical wide receivers with speed.

Let us not forget guys, Keith has wanted to play for Georgia since he was in the 6th grade.

He is going to really to have to be swooned to come here.

Hypothetically, Ithink Keith Marshall would touch the ball, at minimum, 5-10 times a game as a true frosh in compliment to Cierre Wood.

Mahone or Roberson might get some goaline carries... but who knows. Cierre isn't small, Roberson might never recover fully or might come back at full strength, and you never know whether a freshman will be ready or not. So Cierre could easily be "the man" in those situations after Jonas leaves.
