I am a whiney loser....
First, it was the USF game. Take away the fact that they are currently getting the doors blown off of them by a crappy Pitt team, regardless of that, they suck. That certianly didn't stop them from beating us though. I got shitcan drunk that night and got in a fight with a pile of wood in my buddy's back yard.... needless to say... I lost.
Then we get to the scUM game. I have quite a few retarded Michigan fan friends that are huge blowhards that constantly want to tell me how much ND sucks, while completely disregarding their own mediocrity. Again, they beat us in heart breaking fashion.
After that, I kinda had a "come to Jesus" moment. I realized that I cant live my life gauging my stress and happiness on whether or not ND wins on Saturdays. So I took the last couple weeks off and let my Tivo watch the game for me. Each week I returned home from a day out in the mountains to see an Irish victory after a great day of fishing, and now life is good.
ND will lose again. Who knows when that will be, but when it happens, I am in a better place mentally and will be able to handle it. I am still excited about the future of this program and am proud to be an ND fan. I needed to reach this tipping point to start enjoying it again. That being said, sorry I left for a while. You were all missed.
Go Irish!
