I love this guy as well. This kid is extremely quick and really dominated out in Oregon. We are very fortunate and lucky to have this young man on board. He will be a good one for sure.

Yeah I just watched his highlights and thought the same thing. In my humble, uninformed opinion... watching him side by side with Schutt... I can see why we like Day. I really hope he can still add some significant bulk and strength... because if he does he certainly has the tools to be a force.

Agreed. I haven't been able to keep up with all the various posts (here, Schutt, Recruiting thread) but there is a minute long clip on II of him at some sort of out of uni workout and he is awesome. Sorry if you guys are already aware and discussing. My eyes hurt from reading all this stuff.

So we get this elite lineman in Sheldon Day - O Happy Day! And then we turn down a player the staff obviously doesn't see as elite - at least not elite enough to overfill at his position. What does this tell you???? Hello....Mr. Jones, step right up.

Day can play both spots, and they might feel that Jones can do. This staff is all about flexibility.

JC Shurbutt said on Bill King's show, 247Sports probably had Day too low and Schutt too high. Expect the next rating to show Day rising because of his "The Opening" showing. FWIW
