I don't know how many more of these UND videos I can watch. I literally get way to fired up just from listening to Kelly talk. This is very difficult for me to watch these things. September 3 cannot get here soon enough.

Am I crazy or was he talking about Tyler Stockton?

(To clear up what I'm talking about) In reference to someone who can come in and give you 30 snaps or so because Nix can't do so much.

You are crazy. He was referring to Cwynar... unless I am crazy.

It's gotta be Cwynar. He was the #2 DT behind Ian Williams last season. If it's not Cwynar, then (1) Stockton came out of nowhere; and (2) Cwynar didn't even get mentioned. Unpossible.

I wanted to quote about ten above comments so I'll just do my own, wow Aaron Lynch and Louis Nix...

Yea I don't think there is anyway Lynch can leap frog Kap. He is just raw talent at this point and doesn't know how to operate within the defense. I do believe he will be playing quite a bit come mid year and his sole mission will be to rush the passer, but no way he starting.

I think on 4-3 situations he may start with the other end being KLM but not in a 3-4

Louis Nix will command double teams. He simply DOES NOT get moved in that drill. Wow.

KLM was among the best pass-rushers on our team last season, so unless he needs a blow, I don't see Aaron taking over for him in our even looks.

I think we'll see him replacing the pure DT (Nix, Cwynar, etc.) on obvious passing downs.

Flemming/ Ishaq - EJ/ Tuitt - KLM - Lynch

Can also bring Shembo from the Dog, and that's still not even a blitz. Oh my...

Flemming has the skills to be a Von Miller type player...Fingers crossed it all comes together for him this year.

Who needs that "other" stuff when you have a decided schematic advantage?

I love Charlie, but there is no denying that he was either not ready to be a head coach at this level or he is incapable of being one.

Cue picture of Weis leaning back in his big chair during a press conference with a smug smiles on his face.

Lynch will be starting by midseason.
The kid couldn't be blocked.

Just picked one. Guys. KLM and EJ are for real. As is Flemming, but that's another story. I am telling you. They are HUGE, and fast, and can play fast. A good example of the metric, because a lot of people on this site have given up on EJ, was Kelly's comment today. To paraphrase: EJ did no lower body weight training the season before Kelly arrived, and he spent his share of time flopping around and on his back during that season. This season, he has had two years of Longo. Expect far different results. Same with KLM. They both are 300 lbs. I stood next to them once each of the last two years. NO comparison.

Aaron Lynch, will be a great player. I have not seen him entirely overcome his urge to run around blocks. Kelly said it today, he is being evaluated on his ability to play disciplined defense. He won't play till he does. And he shouldn't. He will learn, it is just a matter of time.

Of the limited film today. Niix can't just dig in. He can move you like a rag doll. I mean I think there was two times in the drill (Rodeo?) and once prior that he just manhandled and drove the guy across from him back, and once it was Cave. THAT IS SOMETHING!

Guys from what Kelly has let slip, position coaches have said and what has been reported we could have 5 or 6 "national players" on defense this year! (Kelly uses that term for recognition. I have heard: Flemming, T'eo, KLM, EJ, Nix, Gray, Blanton, and Smith.)

On offense I didn't hear anyone say anything about the entire offensive line looking GREAT; or the fact that Tate Nichols played a bad@$$ Left Tackle!

(Troy Niklas is listed as a Tight end on the roster?)

I will listen to it again.

I think alot of fans (including me) want Lynch on the field just to see what he can do. Because he is such a good talent. Much like we all wanted to see what Manti could do. Manti was hurried into playing because he was the best LB, talent wise. What he could not do mentally he made up for physically but he still showed his youth.

So as much as I want Lynch to get on the field as quickly as possible. It is nice to know there are upperclassmen that are good enough and better than Lynch at this time that he can sit and not have to be forced into playing right away.

If that makes any sense.

Kelly was talking about Sean. Which is kind of funny, because I swear that he made a comment about how Sean would get his starting position back after his foot healed, and how someone else would have to take it away, and today Kelly talked about getting 30 good plays a game from Sean, which would allow Nix to play his maximum.

It is Cwynar... I had to bust out the headphones to clearly hear it

Okay, I'll take your word for it.

Tommy: [Trying to copy his father's quote] Hey, I'll tell you what. You can get a good look at a butcher's *** by sticking your head up there. But, wouldn't you rather to take his word for it?
Mr. Brady, Customer: [confused] What? I'm failing to make the connection here.
Tommy: No, I mean is, you can get a good look at a T-bone by sticking your head up a butcher's ***... No, wait. It's gotta be your bull.
Richard: [embarrassed] Wow.
