He doesn't have to travel that far though to get to Notre Dame. It's not like he is coming from Cali or Florida...Kid is going to end up at Stanford IMO

This is where I'm leaning, as well.

But an ND visit can help matters considerably. We'll see how things go.

Well, it's not like he's going to a neighboring city, either. According to google, Centerville, OH is 4.5 hours from SB.

It wasn't too long ago we felt another stud LB was set for PSU... We have a decent shot!

My intuition is that we trail for Odenigbo, and if we eventually get his verbal, it'll come later.

Glad we're getting another visit though.

We trail for Odenigbo but not as much as some of you are leading on. The religion factor is strong in this recruitment. His family is very Catholic. They also have a close family so while distance has not come into play yet, as time goes on and he realizes he will be leaving his family, it will benefit us. This is nowhere near over.

Interesting...But this has nothing to do with Tracy Howard (joking ;))

Notre Dame can really separate itself from Stanford for kids who take their faith seriously. In my opinion, its the mind, body, spirit combination that makes ND the best undergraduate school in the country. A few kids a year, Catholic and otherwise (e.g. Andrew Hendrix, Manti Teo, Theo Riddick, Cam McDaniel), seem to really get this. They are often my favorite kids.

Visit went "pretty well" which I take as code for not good enough. I wish TurningPoint, GBDomer, or someone would share what the issue was discouraging him from ND. Also wish his mom could've made the trip... sigh. Oh well.

Pretty well, huh?

Kinda like how my date with the homecoming queen went.

Needless to say, we dated once.

I did not conquer her.

But, I had the shot.

Just like we got with this kid.

What's more important: To try and not succeed, or wonder what could have been...?

We got a shot.

I know he really loves the West Coast like Noor Davis. He also loves the idea of playing alongside Noor Davis. Academics is huge for him and Stanford is top notch. Also if Ohio State signs a top notch coach it will be hard for him to leave the state i believe. He is a huge family person and religious like someone explained in here. Its a Cal Stanford battle right now and Ohio State could sneak in there depends on coach. I would say we are in 4th with Northwestern maybe 3rd. If he takes an offical i will feel better about where we stand right now. As for now i believe we trail no matter what reports say. If we wants to stay home if comes down to us and OSU and maybe Northwestern.

Good news brewing...I think Stanford is the leader at the moment still....but Stanford is also the reason that he is still visiting schools. He doesn't want to compete with Noor for a spot, as they good friends...take it for what its worth.

Good things on the horizon for ND in recruiting.. Very good things.

Oh wow. I've been keeping quiet on this thread for a bit because I don't want to get to excited over Ifeadi. I knew it was a long shot and he'd be an extremely big get for this class, but now that there's news this big...well...that changes everything!

Thanks for the news GB.
