Lyons is an interesting character.... you have to assume Michigan and Stanford are going to be out (unless their coaching situations are solidified by Saturday). Although, the simple fact that Michigan's defense sucks so bad could draw Lyons there.
That leaves only UCLA. And UCLA has been terrible under Rick.
Nebraska is a huge player for Lyons. Thats my guess on where he lands.
Wayne Lyons has released a different final 5 a thousand times. He was just talking yesterday on his fb about Nebraska so they are not out of it.
I can’t see how he keeps the job after this and the inevitable Buckeye pounding that’s coming.

Thing is, they can keep him and go 9-3 every year, losing to all the good teams. Or fire him and roll the dice. It’s an interesting decision.
I really don't know that they can go 9-3 without a big transformation mid season. Look at their slate of games over the next 5 weeks. I think they could drop 3 more in that span alone.
Is it Harbaugh's fault WI's backs keep running through gaps where there's no UM defender?
Is it Harbaugh's fault his OLine can't create a gap?
Is it Harbaugh's fault Patterson is 5 of 14 while Coan is 11 for 13?
Is it Harbaugh's fault 68 of their 88 yds of First Half Total Offense came on 1 play?
Is it Harbaugh's fault his team had the ball 6:57 minutes to WI's 23:03 minutes?
Common, Harbaugh only had 2 weeks to prepare his team after tough games against West Point and Middle Tennessee St.
Here is the rest of their schedule:
9/28-- Rutgers @ home, should win
10/5-- Iowa @ home, could lose
10/12-- @ Penn St., could lose
10/26-- Notre Dame @ home, will lose
11/2-- @ Maryland, should win
11/16-- Michigan State @ home, will lose
11/23-- @ Indiana, should win
11/30-- Ohio State @ home, will lose
Michigan could have a 5 loss season.
It was interesting watching the Michigan game yesterday how no one seemed to be around Harbaugh.
I think he is starting to lose this team and I think it's a matter of how much they want to put up with Harbaugh.
Well if they can’t handle Iowa and, later, Sparty at home, then yeah, they’ve got serious problems. So maybe their ceiling this year is 8-4. Is that a firing record? I honestly don’t know. It’s certainly not what they’d hoped.
Feels a bit like where we were at with BK for a few years there, but I don’t know if Harbaugh is capable of reinventing himself the way Kelly has.
If Miles does even a decent job at Kansas is he next coach at Michigan?
That's the big question: given the amount of delusion in the Michigan fanbase, it probably is fireable.
And in regard to the comparison to us with BK a few years ago: there was a distinct difference in that Kelly had already taken us to a title game. Jim has gone 10-3, 10-3, 8-5, 10-3 and he's heading for what appears to be at best a 10-3 season, probably 8-5 at worst?
How much talent do they lose after this year? Mcaffrey is probably better but I thought their line was experienced.
What's the buyout clause? I can't imagine Michigan will experiment with this much longer. I know he's a son of Walmart or whatever, but I imagine it's a beat one of ND or OSU or you're gone, at this point.
He will leave when he wants too. He's Bo's adoptive son. They moved mountains to get him because he was their savior.
I agree though that he's been a bust.
Yeah, he ain’t getting fired. If the train goes off the tracks, I could see him jumping back to the NFL to avoid being known more as an unsuccessful UM HC vs his career as a great UM QB.
