Not all spreads are the same, i dont think there is a team in the country (including Cinci last year) that plays at the pace Oregon does

No offense....but you'd be wrong. Oregon certainly plays at a fast pace but the media acting like their pace is unprecedented isn't backed up by any numbers.

When clicking i believe they run a play every 15 seconds but i might have to get back at you on that

I think you are correct, I remember watching the Oregon-Cal game and they actually were having a running clock to see how fast they got to the line and ran a play. An average was between 15-18 seconds I believe, if it wasn't around that time it was around 25-28 seconds or so. Which is still pretty freakin' fast

You could be right. Statistically they don't run the most plays per second...but that could be because their pace drops significantly in the 4th quarter.

yeah like that Cal game they chewed 9 seconds off that clock in the final drive n just took a knee to end it, they still went no huddle and got to the line quick to ensure Cal couldn't switch players.

Sounds like a great kid that will succeed no matter where he ends up. That was a great article and made me want him even more at ND. Hope we can somehow land him as I think he has the tools to be a special player.

ANything is possible I guess... and that is what landing Lyons would have to fall under at this point... personally I have all but given up on him.

He will NOT be coming to ND. I would love for him to be here he could probably start next year.

The chaos scenario where we get Lyons:

He decides he really does want a good education and that cuts out all of the **** SEC and Florida schools. UCLA has played abysmally for the past couple years despite talent and a new coach.. that rules out the Bruins. Harbaugh leaves Stanford for the NFL. If he left for Michigan, Lyons would probably go there. The uncertainty surrounding Michigan makes it unattractive or he does not like the new coach. ND has a strong showing in their bowl game, gets him to take another look, and he decides it is the best bet for him to get everything he wants out of football and college.

Chances of that all happening? Less than 1%.

Not to get everyones hopes up just because we made a final group, but Lyons cut his to 4: ND, UM, UCLA, NEB.

A little off topic, but this is as surprising as Shuler not putting Stanford in his final group. I know neither are from Cali, but the rumors of Harbaugh moving on is having an affect on recruits (hopefully Niklas hears it too).

Nebraska and Bo Pelini have really made up a lot of ground with Lyons. It would not suprise me at all if he landed in Lincoln. If not Lincoln then Michigan would sit well if Harbaugh makes the jump to Ann Arbor. I would put ND last out of these four just based on recent reports and his mother. Would be a great late pick-up but I dont even recall the Irish coaches paying him a visit last week when they made their rounds.

Where's Florida on this list? I don't care if Urban Meyer did retire, he has way too many family ties there to not have them in his top 4.

I'd like to hear where you got this. Not saying you're b.s-ing us, just would like to know where you heard it. Shocking news if true.

Whoa.... better not be UM.... I feel like they're going to land a huge class on D just because their defense sucks so much. My "chaos scenario" in post #259 is almost coming true...
