Yeah I know I may be drinking the kool-aid but I think 12-0 is always possible.

10-2. We'll lose to U$C and someone else. Not that I'm hoping for that.

I say we win 11. We either lose to USC or any of our usual pains-in-the-neck (Michigan State or Boston College).

It SHOULD be no less than 11 wins so I agree with you.....BUT I say 9-3. I just dont trust Charlie Weis as a coach.

Im shocked at you NDOM. I originally had a 7-5 option just for you hahahha

I think they need to finish in the top 20(not top25), and must get sugar bowl or higher bid.

best case 11-1 (possible, I just dont think so)
I voted 10-2 (USC and Mich. St/BC)
worst case 9-3 (USC, Mich St., BC)

Anything less than a BCS Bowl, or consideration for a BCS Bowl, is unacceptable.

11-1, We lose to MSU or BC and beat USC. Finish at least top 15, maybe top 10 and go to a BCS bowl...

sorry to disappoint you. I will say that 12-0 is possible but reality is, we will have to play lights out to get to 12-0. If we end up 10-2 I will be happy and to top it off a bowl win would be great.

I want to play a BCS buster (always a WAC team if there ever is one) and unleash Floydrape on their pitiful secondaries.

I say 9. Until this team can run the ball, I can't go above 9.

I have to agree, if we can effectively run the ball then it should be more wins, minimum of 10 or 11. Until we run the ball we are still one dimensional and even though our offense should be great this year (and by offense I mean JC,Floyd,Tate and Rudolf) if there is no run game things start to get predictable really fast. So for now I say 9 wins but if the O line shows some sack then deffinately 10-12 wins. Go Irish!!!

I picked 10-2 but now that I look back at the schedule I'm going with 11-1 with a very competitive loss in the BCS.

I say we lose to Michigan State come back with a chip on our shoulder and kick the shit out of Washington hyping us up for the USC game in which we win by 6. After the USC game win this team gets so amped they run out the schedule. Appearing in a Major BCS bowl against an SEC team in which we will lose a close game.

What say you??

What does Charlie need to do to keep his job? I'm thinking at LEAST 8-4 and a big bowl win. But even that is a stretch. He's on the hot seat and he knows it. What is everyone else's thoughts?

9-3 and a bowl win with this schedule!

A trip to a BCS Bowl, which is completely possible if Golden Tate gets the ball more than five times a game.

I voted 10-2. I remember last year there were people posting here saying we would go 11-1 (or even 12-0!!!), and I wanted throw up on my screen. Saner posters had 10-2, 9-3, 8-4. I had 8-4, and I was wrong by 2 games as well.

But this year, we have experience at all positions, and more athletes than we've had since Holtz. But we still have CW. I am a HUGE CW supporter, but if he still can't get the troops up for lesser opponents, and if he continues to let opponents off the hook instead of stepping on their throats, we could easily end up at 8-4. We can't forget this, even the Kool-aid drinkers.

But I think CW has turned it around. I think the coaching changes will help big-time, and i think that the experience will shine through. Anywhere from 7-5 to 12-0 is a possibility; anywhere from 8-4 to 11-1 is a probability. 10-2 and he deserves his job. Anything less even I think he should be fired...

I am definitely drinking the kool-aid but I also realize that it is more realistic to say 10-2. Last year I don't believe I gave my prediction on here but over at ESPN I said we would win at least 8 games. I was also off but we could have easily been 8-4 / 9-3 if we didn't give up the lead in some of the games. I just believe that if we can get the football team motivated, the sky is the limit.

An 8-4 season is not going to keep Weis. I would hate to see us go anything less than 9-3. If we do then a bowl win is a must.

Haha ND beats one WAC team and you think they will walk all over the conference? Sorry buddy but Boise would have bent us over last year. Even Nevada probably. That first game this year is definitely no guarantee.

Even Fresno State would have had their way with ND last season. The bulldogs intensity and physicality is only matched by another west coast team on ND's schedule, USC.

I love ND and have high expectations for this season. But give the WAC some credit. Those teams are something that ND hasn't been in a while: hard working, inteligent, and nasty. Sound familiar? Thats exactly what Weis promised us.
