Great athlete, but I have to agree with those that say he is going to stay here in Jersey and attend Rutgers. I hope that Kelly and the crew can sway him, but the Scarlet Knights are the leaders right know. Just my opinion.

I think they were head and shoulders above everyone else at the begining but I think Notre Dame has helped themselves a lot. By their play on the field and Rutgers embarassing performances. I know he says he has a great relationship with the Rutger's coaching staff so we will see.

all im hoping for is for us to run the ball down miami's throat. back to back usc then um that would be great. and im sure it would make a lot of the rb recruits look at us again. im telling you kellys a genius with the "power running spread option read" offense.

He would be an idiot to go to USC. All they do there is squander RB talent. I mean... they squander talent in general... but the way they squander RB talent is epic. They have four 4*/5* RBs and they can't run effectively? Pathetic.

I hate to break it to you, but Notre Dame hasn't been producing NFL first-rounders out of the back field. Players who failed to live up to hype:
Jonas Gray 4(stars) #72(nationally ranked player)
Armando Allen 4 52
Robert Hughes 7 77
James Aldridge 5 27

I know it all can be blamed on Charlie Wies's poor developmental skills but it could still sway players away, also, can you name one elite back Kelly has produced? I hope kelly just needs to fix a couple of minor problems and the running game will be there. I mean how long has it been since Notre Dame had a truly great running back?

its a difficult mathematical formula to get a 7 star. has something to do what time zone you live in multiplied by jersey number divided by shoe size.

...or did he really come from "Montana"??? Things are VERY different there. Maybe, even, dare I say it??? It's a conspiracy....

Was he from a Dental Floss Farm in Montana?* Not necessarily a conspiracy, but definitely a theory.

on a note more grounded in sanity, does anybody have more of his senior year footage? I believe his season is now over

Is that a real poncho or a Sears poncho.

Raisin' it up, waxin' it down in little white box that I could sell uptown.

Love the Zappa reference

Hey, man, do you own a pair of zircon encrusted tweezers, too?!

I keep them in a faux suede (Corinthian Leather) covered case. I made it myself, with a little help from Dynamo Hum. Quite elegant, I might add.

Oh, and Huggins would be a good addition to the roster.

YouTube - Frank Zappa Don't Eat The Yellow Snow - Father O'Blivion

I feel like an Eskimo after all the snow in that fell in Minneapolis this past weekend (note the collapse of the Metrodome's Teflon™ coated roof) and today's forecast of one below as a high and 16 below as a low. Winter hasn't even officially started and we get hit with this!!!

Good thing for Savon that temperatures don't get that low in South Bend. South Bend gets more annual snowfall than Minneapolis, but it tends to melt now and then in the course of a winter.

I may be chopping away at the temporary "permafrost" set into motion recently come May. I loves me some Tulips, Daffodils and Siberian Squill in the spring.

To mash the lyrics from Van Morrison's Tupelo Honey, "She's as sweet as two below honey, she's an angel of the first degree ..."

Back to Huggy Bear, as much as Ishaq would be an exclamation point on the defensive side of the recruiting class, I would consider Huggins as important on the offensive end.

Has anyone heard how his coach feels about his future school of choice? It seems like he would be an important influence on SH because they spend so much time together. SH rides with his coach to school everyday.

Haven't heard. I graduated St. Peter's in '92 and Hansen was coach back then too. It is a pretty tight school where people become like family. I don't know if that means anything in the long run in terms of where kids choose to go to college, but I know that SPP is big on academics, service, and a family atmosphere. I'm sure this is similar to many schools out there. ND is a good fit, but in the end, who knows?

Idk, i feel like we have a proven rusher in Wood, but no true established leader on the D-line, Shembo is going to be great, but if i had to choose one id probably go with Ishaq

“Academics always come first to me,” he said. “I liked how they were talking about graduating in three-and-half years. That is what I really liked about the school. I liked everything about it. They are really hands on with their players.

Really...I think someone should bring the graduation rates of their football players to his attention!
