Right but how was he complimenting ISU? I think he was saying competitive final score was misleading especially when looking at each teams total offense.

My line of thought: BYU beat a good Iowa State team by worse than the score reflects, thus BYU is a very good team.

When in fact, he's overestimating how good Iowa State actually is as an opponent for BYU to "dominate"

Gotcha. Mine was BYU held ISU to 200 yds of total offense while Bachmeier put up over 500 yds ttl offense & he did it with his legs & his arm.

BYU on death watch
Yep. We are just going to beat the shit out of them.

I will grant BYU is a well-coached, tough, team with a salty defense. They may even be able to hang with us for a half.

But they will score less than 14 points against our defense and we will wear them down and the final score will be something like 35-10 and that’s just how it goes for BYU against the likes of Notre Dame now.

This is the time ND shows everyone they are the favorites to win the national title. All these other games have been boring and this team is starving for a legit game in prime time to showcase it. BYU is not a top 10 team and should be exposed on Saturday night.

This is how I see it. They will have a ton of energy being at home, having Gameday, the biggest game of their lives, etc., but really unless we totally collapse on defense to like 2016 levels I just don't see how they consistently move the ball on us for 4 quarters. BYU relies on physically wearing down their opponents and being tougher and more disciplined than them. We can match them bar for bar and then some in those areas, while we also have a sizeable gap in athleticism and team speed on them.

First quarter or so could be tight and low scoring. I forget which talking head called us an anaconda, it was either Fowler or Rece Davis I believe, but that's how it will go. We will squeeze the life out of them and by the end of the game we will be up 24-30 points.

This. They'll show up for a few quarters because all eyes will be on them and it's a prime time big matchup, but they should tire as we tighten the vice and our talent/depth take over. I really hope the boys just crush them though, so tired of hearing idiots say we forfeited/dodged a BYU team that hasn't beaten us in 2 decades

I've been patiently waiting for a game that really shows us what we have. The players should be completely locked in, the coaching staff should be focused and we'll see who they put on the field. This game will give us a strong idea of how they view this team.

If Jonaz doesn't come out as RB1 or RB2, I'm concerned. If the playcalling doesn't open up a little more, I'm concerned. If the special teams doesn't look at least good, I'm concerned. If the defense continues to give up big plays with single high safety, I'm concerned. And if we can't get more than 3 WRs into the game, I'm concerned.

I'm begging for the staff to fast track Elijah Burress. To my eye, he could be a major piece to this offense.

I'm hoping and expecting none of this is a concern Saturday night and we see a team that is focused and fearless.

Agree with this. Still wondering why Premer cannot get in the mix. Walton absolutely needs most of the carries. He provides an ability to take it to the house with every touch as proved yesterday. This will be a physical game. We own the lines and no turnovers, we win the game. Walton-James-Aneyas should be a wonderful 3 headed monster at rb. Loved Aneyas' td catch yesterday. Carr over any other qb in the other country. We win by 10+ if we are the team we believe we are.

The Irish scoring offense and defense currently: 44.0 and 11.0 per game ave. Not bad at all even though the current strength of schedule is in the upper 40's thru 6 wks.
