I'll take the over, heavily.

The parallels between the SEC and the confederacy are definitely there. NIL/revenue sharing is basically the modern day abolitionist movement to these backward ass imbreds. Now that they can't have free labor anymore, they whine and cry and threaten to leave. What's funny is not only have they not won a championship since 2022, they haven't even made the title game since then. SEC, SEC!

The homers say it's because the SEC is soooooooo brutal that by the time the playoffs roll around they have nothing left give.Cmon man. He is way too smart to be sharing this poor of a take. They (SEC) haven't even been to a NC since 2022.
Would our schedule have been stronger if we replaced Stanford with FSU?
It's 100% this. As long as they can ostensibly play the role of sage visitor from a land of enlightened football (Saban-era SEC/Alabama) it's all good, but now that the water is finding its level you see what actually lies beneath. They get off on patronizing the board, because they're shitty little guys without a thought in their head and nothing going on in their corner of the football internet. Don't talk to them, don't look at them, and if you're a site owner strongly consider putting them outside with the other animals. That ability has gone down about as much as the Alabama football team on the field.
Must be a coincidence
Kinda weird thing to say, when everyone was accusing them as being the only ones to pay the players prior to NIL.The parallels between the SEC and the confederacy are definitely there. While I’m not one to step in and defend the SEC, I do have to wonder how many of his Illini boosters wish it was 2001 forever.
I must've missed the part where the schools themselves were paying players directly pre-NIL/revenue sharing. As far as I know, it was boosters who were funding all of that. Regardless of the source of that money, we're comparing apples (10-20k in a McDonald's bag, a car from the local dealership, etc.) to oranges (six figures plus on the table legally). Considering the scale of what we're seeing now with NIL/revenue sharing, I think we can safely say the old way was using "free labor" for all intents and purposes. And the SEC was the biggest beneficiary of that exploitative system. You think it's just a huge coincidence they haven't made it to the title game since 2022 and they're screaming from the rafters about the current state of college football?Kinda weird thing to say, when everyone was accusing them as being the only ones to pay the players prior to NIL.
I could live in 1989 forever if my kids were somehow still born!
You should've seen my hair and girlfriend! They were glorious!
