Time will tell, but with him not playing as long as he has and with the current OL players working hard and the battles taking place for being a starter, would it be a huge uptick in OL performance by moving Charles in as a starter in week 7? Don't get me wrong, he's very talented and I'd love to see him return ... I'm just not sure that it would be a 'difference maker' under these existing circumstances. It's like back and forth 4 weeks ago they were saying he might not play this year now it's looking like he will play what the hell is it? He is def lifting we can see that, so what is the hold up? I wouldn't rush him back but let's hope he's ready by week 6-7

It was part of the preview of the article anyone can read. I don't subscribe to II. The quote seemed pertinent to the topic at hand, but I'll refrain from doing so in the future. If it isn't free, don't just copy/ paste articles please -- maybe more so you don't get banned from those pay sites than for our website's protection. The info will get here anyways.
He’s not going to be a first round pick until he plays a whole season. His injury history is going to make any other scenario implausible. He’ll probably be ND’s starting guard … in 2027 … even if he makes in on the field by mid-season this year. No NFL team is going to invest a first round pick on a guy whose entire college career was four games.I don’t think it’s crazy to include him. He’s viewed extremely highly by the NFL. A NFL scout told Matt Freeman his sophomore ~2 games he played were so good if he plays 2 healthy games this year he’ll be a 1st round pick. He’s far and away the most talented OL on the team.

Nah, if you want Jagusah for the CFP, you need to get him on the field for a couple regular season games. If they can get him ready for BC, SMU and Syracuse, shake the rust off and you're off and running. The goal should probably be full strength heading into the playoffs. IDGAF about his season - give me a difference maker in the trenches when it matters. NFL won't care either -difference b/w a full season or not is probably late first round versus lottery pick.

Tim O'Malley said something today on II podcast. Didn't go into detail about it but said his initial report there was concern was proven wrong. All he added was that the person who denied his initial report is very trusted. Before the 27:15 mark but I am too lazy to re-listenIt’s not much but it’s more than what’s out there. On power hour Mike Frank said he’s heard the bone has healed. There was some clean up after but bone is in tact and Mike thinks he plays sometime this year. But said you can’t predict strength and if the current guys are doing well, how do you put in an unknown.
But I’ll take a 6th man in November with NFL talent all day on a playoff run.
If the recent ND hype video is any indication, Jagusah was seen doing squats. I know that's not an upper body workout, but generally it's not a workout you can do with a fucked up arm. Arm stability is crucial to doing an effective squat. My prediction is that he's healing relatively in line with what out ortho doc explained to me (and I subsequently posted in this thread) earlier this year.
Hopefully he's ahead of the admitedly conservative schedule our doc noted, but I'll stick to my idea that if you could have him ready maybe a week before Miami (on Halloween vs Navy) just to see some action before starting at OG vs the Hurricanes, that would be awesome..
The healing is important, yes... But for me it's just as important that he gets 12-16 weeks of high end strength training in to make sure his upper body is game ready.

The ESPN segment about his road to recovery that airs before we win the national title>>>>Love that he's squating. Need to build in all the heavy compounds. If we can get him benching some serious weight and getting weight above his head in any variation of an overhead press, we're well on the way. Maybe he's already doing all of that, who knows!?
