Horka had a whole thing on it a week or two ago. Pretty much that they think the surgery went well he was going in last week to see if the nerve damage is progressing or not

Hopefully we can get him back by BYU and I honestly hope he comes back for one more year. I'm sure he can be a high draft pick but teams are going to question is health history

It's like back and forth 4 weeks ago they were saying he might not play this year now it's looking like he will play what the hell is it? He is def lifting we can see that, so what is the hold up? I wouldn't rush him back but let's hope he's ready by week 6-7
Time will tell, but with him not playing as long as he has and with the current OL players working hard and the battles taking place for being a starter, would it be a huge uptick in OL performance by moving Charles in as a starter in week 7? Don't get me wrong, he's very talented and I'd love to see him return ... I'm just not sure that it would be a 'difference maker' under these existing circumstances.

No way a guy who hasnt played in two years and hasnt consistently lifted in two years could come in and beat some of the best talent in the country in OL just like that. If so, it would just be a testimony to how bad our OL development would have to be.

If it isn't free, don't just copy/ paste articles please -- maybe more so you don't get banned from those pay sites than for our website's protection. The info will get here anyways.

It was part of the preview of the article anyone can read. I don't subscribe to II. The quote seemed pertinent to the topic at hand, but I'll refrain from doing so in the future.

I don’t think it’s crazy to include him. He’s viewed extremely highly by the NFL. A NFL scout told Matt Freeman his sophomore ~2 games he played were so good if he plays 2 healthy games this year he’ll be a 1st round pick. He’s far and away the most talented OL on the team.

He’s not going to be a first round pick until he plays a whole season. His injury history is going to make any other scenario implausible. He’ll probably be ND’s starting guard … in 2027 … even if he makes in on the field by mid-season this year. No NFL team is going to invest a first round pick on a guy whose entire college career was four games.

I don’t disagree but I also am more optimistic on him in 2026 that others and the beat. If no complications, a March 18th surgery with 3 months to heal and a few months of strength training puts him on the field IMO. This isn’t a knee or ankle which takes longer to gain strength and the NFL seems to view him as a Quentin Nelson type talent. I think he starts before our playoffs start.

The goal should probably be full strength heading into the playoffs. IDGAF about his season - give me a difference maker in the trenches when it matters. NFL won't care either -difference b/w a full season or not is probably late first round versus lottery pick.

Nah, if you want Jagusah for the CFP, you need to get him on the field for a couple regular season games. If they can get him ready for BC, SMU and Syracuse, shake the rust off and you're off and running.
