Saros. Absolutely loving it. Much more accessible than Returnal, thanks to permanent character progression (and somewhat easier bosses), and the combat is just razor sharp and rewarding.

I really don't want to get political, so I'll just say that there's a lot of BS on social media about the story. It's not what the naysayers say. I'll just leave it at that.

Finally trying Easy Red 2,… it’s one of those games I wish a big developer could get a hold of. It’s really good but limited in ways you can tell are due to a small dev team

I heard the ww1 games can be completely offline… I always thought they were like Hell Let Loose and others that must be played online (I think anyway), so that always kept me away from those. I HATE online only shooter games for a variety of reasons. Well I installed Tannenbeeg, so far so good,… I can tell very quickly that I would indeed hate this shit online tho lol

The studio that does the “Kingdom Come” games is doing a Lord of the Rings RPG…

I assume this is a good thing, even if it’s just a Middle Earth skin over a Kingdom Come game??

I bet the next KC game does not feature Henry as a protagonist. Probably details the Hussite Wars.

LOTR RPG does sound promising. My only concern is Warhorse's main guy Daniel Vavra isnt working on the games anymore he's pivoted to the TV adaptation production.

Kind of like the video equivalent of "This meeting could've been an email!": "This full-price release could've been a total conversion!" ;)

Not buying that GTA6 thing on 4chan. Past rumours that later came true have come from far more legit sources. The Take Two quarterly meeting is tomorrow at 4:30 Eastern. We'll probably know something then if there's a delay.

The open world LOTR sounds cool. We kind of got that with LOTRO, but I was never able to get into it further than like...level 20. Plus it was an online game, so the content was kind of crap, you were mostly there to make friends and shit.

Even if it were a skinsuit, it could be very good. Sometimes companies get too cute with games.

Prime example is the Battlefield series. BF1942, BF2, BF3, BF4...all very good! Then BF1 was great! But their other titles (including BF6) have been....underwhelming.

BF could absolutely make people very happy if they basically pumped out the same game with updated graphics, engine updates, minor tweaks. Instead, the later iterations of the game have become more and more akin to Call of Duty on a bigger map.

The only exception is maybe Battlefield 1. That game had a very cinematic feel to it. Felt like the company wanted to give WW1 long overdue credit as a setting for a war game...so they really leaned into it.

I digress. People like KCD a lot. People like LOTR. KCD has earned some equity. Prior LOTR games that I played (RotK, Two Towers, Shadow of War/Mordor) were pretty hack n slash button mashing. KCD is not. So that could be interesting! Curious if it'll be like KCD when you are just a specific guy or if it would be more like Elder Scrolls with race/kingdom selection.

For purposes of making the game as deep as possible, I think it would probably be best to just follow the KCD route.

I was hoping the Kingdom Come team would continue with the historical romps,… French soldier during 100 years war, Scottish farmer during the SWoI, etc etc,… Kingdom Come games are the best I’ve played since the Red Dead series and the realistic components are a huge part of it…

my only worry for Warhorse is that they have never really done a Triple A title. People will expect a Skyrim level game and i dont know if they have that in then, Like i said their head guy is working on a TV adaptation of KCD and theyve lost a couple of top guys to CD Project Red who are making Witcher 4. It be a glorious failure or it could be glorious

been playing the new 007 first light game all week that launched Tuesday and graphics are pretty good but the best part about the game is the insane vicious fighting you can do in the game that reminds you of the fighting in the Daniel Craig bond movies

Nice! I’ll have to check it out,… I’ve been revisiting a lot of the old school ww2 shooters, Medal of Honor, OG CoD 1&2, Brothers in Arms,…

I could use some advice from the experts. Just got my youngest daughter a PS5. Mom and I are going to also use it to play classic arcade games like Pac-Man and Galaga, but I want a really good WWII/WWI air war game. Im open to suggestions.

Definitely simulation. I want something very realistic. Ideally, the ability to fly multiple Alled fighters in both theaters of WWII, a variety of missions, and good realism. WWI would be a bonus or even a second purchase later. I just really want a good, realistic WWII fighter game.
