I like Duncomb and think it's a great pick-up on the basketball side.

To be consistent- it's his 6th year post HS, yes the Xavier kind of year is weird, but he probably doesn't belong in college basketball anymore.

Either Year 2 at IU or the year at Xavier he is getting credit for a medical redshirt. The rumor was IIRC he just had mono for an extended period

Holy shit! Dude is good. Been watching him since he was a Freshman.

You could find an old post of mine raving about the kid from a couple years ago.

FWIW, I don’t think he leaves the west coast.

I always wondered why San Francisco stopped being a power in basketball. It had some of the most legendary NBA HOFers play for them in the 50s & 60s
I wondered too and had looked it up before.

They were pretty relevant until the 80's (Gonzaga-like out west) then death penalty 1982-1985(?) or 86, tons of violations - I believe the actual ban was self-imposed though.

Another kid that put up big number against bad competition but struggled in the few games against power competition. Hopefully it’s just a result of their ability to focus on him

He had some sort of procedure in his nasal cavity in year 2 at IU I believe. They never said anything about mono that I recall although that certainly could have been it.

Good to know he made it out of that without extreme lingering side effects.

Similar procedure happened with an ex-ND football player who never made it back to the sport.

Cool website below for anyone that likes to track potential value of confirmed or potential targets.

Duncomb certainly a valuable get for the staff according to Bart Torvik, great job by them there.
He is very low on Roberts though, hope he proves them wrong. Three point percentage not ideal for a senior 6'5 transfer guard from Penn moving to the ACC.

All three of our big three that left in his top 100, just to add salt to the wound.

My brother and I were at a bar having a few drinks one night and Notre Dame basketball game was on.....and he said verbatim: "Notre Dame has to have the whitest starting five in the history of college basketball....no wonder they suck" and I just lost it and laughed my ass off.

He's not wrong

Nice portal pick ups with Duncomb & Roberts, with the 2 spots needed it would be nice to see ND go after kids from bigger power 4 teams.

Clemson is a perfect spot for Certa. I wonder how Haralson will do in Tennessee and Burton at IU.
