Not to downplay what Ash has done, but if you wanted to score on Golden, it better be the first series. If needed, he would adjust right after the opening series

Shockingly Golden's D gave up 54 points over the first 9 games in the 2nd half last year.

This doesn't surprise me actually. One thing that drove me nuts with Golden is that the team seemed to give up a lot of garbage time points. Most frustratingly during the IU CFP game last year. One thing that I like about Ash so far is that doesn't happen.

Never mind the fact they didn't score a TD until the final 3 minutes of the game while we had backups on the field. Hell, we didn't even attempt a pass of more than 10 yards until those final minutes because it wasn't necessary. That IU offense couldn't do shit.

Both are true. Johnson for Stroman and any nickel but Hobbs has made a world of difference, but you can also see Ash can getting more comfortable every week and really knowing his players. The last 3 weeks in particular he’s brought some really exotic pressures
