Boise can still win their league but getting a CFP spot is going to be tough with a loss that bad on your resume.
USF has to play Miami and UF so they are also unlikely to stay a contender

Maybe. If Boise win their conference, his loss prob doesn't hurt them. G5 still gets a guaranteed spot.

For the CFP, American is definitely the inside track right now. First UNLV is actual garbage this year so there is no natural good win for Boise in conference this season. If they lose to ND, they will be completely off radar the rest of the season. If Boise has 2 losses but sweeps the Mountain West, they would likely need the American to cannibalize itself to only having a 3 loss team, which is possible. USF still plays Miami and Florida. Tulane plays Northwestern, Duke and Ole Miss. Then you have Memphis, UTSA and Navy all likely take one P4 loss. If Tulane and USF take Ls these next few weeks but are the best in the American, they’ll have a problem again like last year. Memphis has a cake walk but really doesn’t seem to be able to bring it all together to be dominant like a Boise, just always pretty good.

No one under 35 knows who Elmer Fudd is.
My kids have no idea about Bugs and Daffy.
My 17, 15, and 13 year old nephews and niece all know who Elmer Fudd is and so do all their friends. Looney Toons are still watched by kids and adults alike.

Boise State, I can't imagine, will play that poorly again this year. That was terribly bad by their offense. Defensive tackling was a nightmare too.

I expect them to rebound a bit, but that was BAD bad.

USF really didn't look that good. They relied on some hero ball plays from Brown, the QB, and the fact that Nimrod could get off the line and just run past the entire Boise secondary. They found themselves in several 3rd and wayyy longs and still ended up converting on many of them from just piss poor defense by Boise.

Again, can't imagine Boise looking that bad all year, but this should be an easy win, and it does suck to lose a quality win most likely.

It's the first game of the season USF curse. Don't schedule those blokes in August/early September.

Yeah freaking Memphis has to be one of the least reliable G5 "powers" out there. Always pretty good but never avoids losing to someone who isn't.

Wouldn't be surprised if Navy wins the American and gets crushed by ND. Boise also could win their conference and lose to ND. G5 "champ" could be a real joke. Liberty? Love to see them go 12-0 and get absolutely exposed in the CFP.

Have you watched Boise play this year? They really don’t look like a good team based on the two games I’ve watched and lost badly to the only decent team they have played.
I have not. Heard they have a surprisingly good running game despite losing Jeanty (still not as good as last year) & their QB is good but they have a really bad defense.

I'm surprised by that spread TBH..I thought it would be more.. I'm usually the total opposite but I'm tempted to lay the points.

Eh, their QB is streaky. He’s pretty good for a G5 school but he also disappears for long stretches.

Don't worry guys I'm painting another room next weekend like I have the previous 2 weekends.
This one is in the bag.

My only concern is running out of rooms to paint for the rest of the season.

Ask yourself if you think this offense is only putting up 14 points or whatever against Boise? We started 0-2, the wake up call has already been issued. If we lose to Boise then well we are just a truly bad football team.
We have lost to some bad teams the past few years

If you get a chance, check out a little of their game against USF. It was their first game so I can understand the rust but USF is also the best opponent they have played by a significant margin.

Surely I and the other fans from PA could provide rooms from their homes for you to paint as well. Kind of like the Cash for Kids prison scandal but it’s Cash for Wins.

While that is true, basically all of Freeman's real head scratchers have happened in September. Generally speaking his teams get stronger as the season wears on.

You have a knack for bringing this up a lot, so yeah, it's noted.

Three consecutive home games. Delightful. That's where my headspace is at, not Northern Fucking Illinois.

ND opened -17.5 on DraftKings.

Good showing from them today against App State.
Definitely blew the doors off of the Mountaineers but it was at home and this isn't the App St teams we are used to seeing. They lost to a pedestrian Southern Miss team earlier this year.

I'm not one to take a team like Boise St lightly, but this is a game ND should win pretty comfortably. Hope the boys come out and execute on Saturday.
