Sitting in bed last night after the game, I started to get mixed emotions…

Part of me is so damn excited to play for a national championship…
The other part of me doesn’t want this thing to end. I want to keep playing on and on and on…

But the bottom line is we are at the end of our ride.

This team has been challenged all year long…
One more challenge lies ahead and we are not here just to participate.

I told my wife last night that I'm really happy for the team, and hope they'll play well in the NCG, but selfishly I'm just as pumped that I got as much ND football as humanly possible this year.

Oh it's not over, lots of talent coming back later this year. We are going to be good for years

I keep thinking back to the team we’re currently modeled after: the 2002 Ohio St Buckeyes.

With nothing more than Clarett and a great defense they upset the Miami Hurricanes. The Canes had like 15 first round draft picks on that team.

Freeman has been following Tressel’s advice all year and it pays off next week.

Anything can happen in one game.

Believe.

Also in the market for tickets - prices are so high I expect to be forced to play favorites within my family and hope for some last minute price drops to get more Irish in the door. You are doing a community service - I promise to wear exactly the same gear as I did for the Sugar and Orange.

If OSU dominates again tonight I might have some reservations about paying up for the opportunity and opt to sweat it out at home.

If Texas wins tonight those tickets could plummet fast knowing cocky OSU fans buying tickets early. That's how I got in the door for the Big 10 championship game.

I've been thinking about that comparison as well. I'll never forget being home in Rochester in January and planning for our wedding and being in my car with that game on the radio (no ESPN Watch back then!) and listening and hoping that OSU would pull it off (since I hated Miami a lot back then), and they did it! What a game!

Also will throw my hat in the ring for tickets. I’ll also bring the good juju that I brought into hard rock stadium.

And with that said - horns up baby. Help us bring those prices down please!

And then that got me to thinking, wow! All the PoSU stars for the most part had the game all expected them to have (including Allar because we expect him to throw stupid INTs), so Singleton (for sure), Tyler Warren, the H-back, and even Carter who was a menace. All had strong games if you look at the stat sheets. And despite all that PoSU star power, The Irish found a way to overcome that and come away with the win which is all about strong coaching and a very positive and resilient team culture and attitude that "we got this, and we CAN WIN this game!" We can do the same against OSFU 🍀🍀🍀

Surely Georgia and Pedo U have better defense than ohio?

Ohio State has the best overall defense in the country based on yards I think, and Texas has a comparable pass defense to ND.

Gonna be tough sledding against either team if they make ND one-dimensional like PSU did (and Denbrock kind of did himself) in the first half.

Anyone know what hotel the team will be staying at? Also, a good area to stay with ND stuff going on.

The official Notre Dame packages are hotel rooms in the Atlanta Hilton. Says they're next door to the team.

I think it's safe to say we're all rooting for Texas tonight.

One silver lining I haven't seen anyone mention, should OSU win, is that Notre Dame would be the home team in the National championship game. We'd get our choice of uniform.

What do you guys expect to pay for tickets, going the Ticketmaster route? Want to take my dad but unsure when I should pull the trigger.
