Due to unfortunate obligations (involving a gift from a MIL that did not check the date with us before purchasing tickets for us months ago) I am going to miss at least the first half. Possibly as much as the first 3 quarters. I have already been threatened with a painful death if I am checking my phone.

Do I have a scores sent to me that I can check unobtrusively on my smart watch? Or will that make not being able to be watching it live even worse?

I need guidance and I figured there's no better place to seek it.

Getting out of going is not an option. I've tried and it was a non-starter.

Where in the sam hell are you going, that death threats are reasonable for checking your phone? And who in the sam hell gifts this kind of purgatory on a potential playoff evening?

She's just clueless, not malicious. It was well-intentioned but sports are so far off her radar and unfortunately she assumed that since she bought them months ago it would prevent conflicts 🤣

I think Ironman might post on II. Not sure if it's the same guy though. There's also a Whiskeyjack that occassionally posts on II but I have strong doubts that's IE's Whiskeyjack.

If it were me, I'd be DVR'ing the game and I'd keep my phone off so I could rush home and watch from the beginning. Then I could enjoy broadway as well.
