Hell yeah let’s talk about these drone waves. Shit is crazy.

I think it has to be a US military operation considering the lack of federal concern. Would make sense that it’s based out of Joint Base Mcquire Dix Lakehurst IMO.

I’ve seen a ton of them. I think it’s either what you said or from Picatinny Arsenal. They have a massive amount of land and it’s one of the leading research areas for the Army

Is it possible that the Feds doin't know what these are because it's a private person/company who created them and are testing them? If I've learned anything while following some of this stuff, it's that there seems to be a ton of technology that companies like Lockheed know about and keep private. There are a lot of reasons to speculate as to why, but the bottom line is that I think it's possible either 1) It's drone tech funded by the gov or 2) it's drone tech funded privately....either way, drone tech seems to be the obvious answer and not releasing info is probably standard procedure in order to maintain national security.

Elon was just talking about how they should cancel Lockheed's F35 project. Why spend the trillions on fighter jets when drones are the new era? Paraphrasing.

Or we keep producing the F35 and bring back F22 production. We can also spam out cheap drones as well as world class drones

Why not both? I get Elon's point, but if you're worried about war, you probably need both advanced fighter jets with AI piloting (no more physical limitations based on human pilots; AI will execute perfect dogfight maneuvers), as well as advanced drones for different types of operations. Both would seemingly have their uses and limitations, should it actually come to war between world powers.

Lion's on the right track of Pentagon and CIA thinking. You don't just prepare for the likeliest scenario. You build up back-ups to back-ups to back-ups and then imagine out-of-the-box things and plan them. That's how the Leviathan has been superstructured. Nobody can stand up to it in anything like a conventional war. One can argue whether this is the best way to spend the tax dollars, but the Pentagon has its coherent vision and planning.

The only thing which "works" against the US is smaller scale stuff (at terrorism scales) and threats against states which are not ourselves but allies or traditionally supported countries. Bluff/bravado can seem to "work" but that is political. China for instance knows that we can obliterate everything consequential about their military, but that level of destruction would take their economy with it and plunge the whole globe into a long depression set-back. Neither they nor we want that. Their game is "tickling the Tiger": how much can I get away with?

China's bomb is not the H-Bomb but the Cheap Goods Bomb.

Fair point. I just meant that comment in regards to the subset of people out there who's minds immediately think this is aliens. Military drones (privately or federally funded) seems like the likeliest of scenarios, imo, given our geopolitical landscape.

There are a lot of cases reported to the government and to we civilian field researchers as "UFOs" which instead are drones. Both we and the government are not fools. We sift them out, or don't bother with them if there is really nothing much in the reports. Those incursions into Naval force maneuvers were however NOT drones. We and the Navy have the velocity and maneuverability hard data which shows something way beyond that. That data is now widely available at scientific sites like the SCU.

China and many others use drones. We understand them and have wrecked them and pulled them apart. This other thing is factors of force and speed beyond that. Dream up your own explanations, but it's not drones. ... like saying Musk's rocket is a pelican. I don't like commenting much anymore here at IE because the "commonsense" view is so removed from the knowledge available upon which technical deduction needs to be founded, that there is no hope of proceeding. People here seem to believe that civilian researchers are like the dorks they see on TV. The group of researchers that I "run" with are scientific and engineering professionals of high training. ... and we all are exhausted by the amount of time that we are called upon to try to dumb this stuff down for the public, and still listen to "commonsense" brush-offs.

..... I apologize for the rant ..... again. Promise: Last time.

You're arguing the correct side (F35s are bad ass and any talk of replacing them with drones in the near term is stupid), but any notion of "dogfights" in 2024 is silly Top Gun fantasy. Air combat in 2024 is jets firing their entire payload before the other side has crossed the horizon. It's why Musk saying that "AI with low light sensitivity cameras can make stealth obsolete" is so laughable. It shows a total misunderstanding of how stealth works, but more importantly: If you are in visual range of an F35 that means it knows that you are there already and has allowed you to live.

Mike, are you speaking to the current case in NJ? Or just speaking in general towards past cases? I didn't mean to step on toes. We hold your expertise in very high regard here and hope you continue to speak on the subject.

Testing secret military equipment makes no sense in a highly populated area, IMO.

Yeah I think the duration and location of the drone deployments make this weird. Sure they could be testing tech that’s designed for urban areas, but for 3+ weeks? And with this much secrecy?

Have seen some people on X that are somewhat reputable claim that they are scanning the ports / major highways for a dirty bomb / emp that the Gov is worried ab potentially entering NJ/NY. Scary as fuck but can’t deny it feels like they are monitoring something.

No. Not the NJ stuff. My response was because ignorant people try to wave off the USNavy maneuvers films and pursuits as "drones" when we have on screen data monitoring plus official military commentary placing the objects well beyond any drone capability. (There was someone in this thread who created a sentence which sounded like a general dismissal.)

As to "drones": I probably have a thousand close encounter reports in my own personal files where the object blows the drone concept away just by size+speed+date/year of sighting. So maybe I'm too hair-trigger-fingered. We just got an admission from the government that they got a UFO sighting via a satellite looking down but at very high altitude, so they're admitting to seriously looking.

If there is really that level of threat, they can only be troubled to search at night? That’s pretty sus, as the kids would say.

This guy rocks.

Seems one of two things happened. The helicopter pilot got scared and left or someone way up the food chain made a call and told them to leave the area and return the copter back to base.

Live in Hudson County, NJ and people who live out in the hills by Picattiny Arsenal swear that these aren’t planes and that they are way way too low.

Is there no good videos of these drones? Seems like a big nothing burger to me

They’re flying at night and high up in the sky. All you’re gonna get is blurry photos of their lights and vague shapes due to limitations of cell phone cameras and limited lighting. Even then, there are a few higher-quality vids I’ve seen on Twitter that I’ll try to find.

Idk if it’s anything sinister, but with multiple sightings now in Texas and other places, it doesn’t seem like a nothing burger, either.
