Everyone always likes to claim that wherever they live, the drivers are the absolute worst. Having moved 4 times in the past 5 years, every local I talk to about it will always say it. There's different levels to it though. I think the South Carolina Drivers in the Charleston area are the worst because they just have no idea what the fuck they're doing, and it also changed my opinion on annual state inspections of vehicles. Every week I would notice a different car broken down and abandoned on the side of the road. Drivers in the Hampton Roads VA area were pretty aggressive. And while everyone complains about the drivers here in Tampa Bay, I don't think they're that bad
I'll put the drivers of Charlotte, NC up against anyone.

Lane change going 75 in a 55 without using blinkers seems to be their thing. Use the exit from the "fast lane" in a 4 way with 20 feet to spare (no blinker)... Yeah, just fucking horrible.

Not to interrupt the convo about different perceptions of cold/bad weather and regional driver differences, but man, is the ND hate running rampant since Tuesday's latest CFP rankings! Everyone's Calling One Team a Fraud After New CFP Rankings This can really be a God send for MFMF and staff to leverage a very strong feeling of "It's us against the world (of ND haters)! Let's go and prove them wrong!!" Go Irish!! 🍀🍀🍀

My least favorite cities to drive, in no particular order: Chicago, Dallas, Nashville, Atlanta. Surprisingly to me at least, drivers in Dallas & Nashville are the rudest, most inconsiderate mf'ers on the road. Minneapolis drivers are generally very polite. Wisconsin drivers are polite and the cheeseheads are good people, but not a one of them has an f'ing clue about getting out of the passing lane. They all drive the exact same speed 4 lanes wide.

I guess New York doesn’t make these lists anymore because nobody even tries to drive there

I showed the pic Sampson posted to my Bama fan co-worker with the context of a potential playoff match up in SB. He's from lower Alabama. Shook his head and looked disgusted.
I was on campus this morning. Its beautiful out. Its been snowing since midnight.

Lived in the south my whole life with family in Chicago. 100%, the cold affects teams from the south. There’s a reason dome teams always struggle in the playoffs. If college football had NFL style playoffs (at home stadiums) the last 30 years, the NC list would look much different. I wish they’d do on campus games all the way to the NC game.

The north has been at a disadvantage in most bowls since the beginning. Their teams and systems were built for cold weather and the bowls were typically played in summer conditions.

ND ranks
#4 FPI
#8 SP+
#6 in overall effeciency

But those with an agenda will not mention these numbers when discussing ND as a "fraud"
it's funny because the pundits who defend IU (they may be playing weak competition, but they're blowing them out!) Fail to mention that ND has the largest margin of victory over the past 8 games. Convenient....

The internal angst and frustration is hilarious. It's not like ND has torn up stellar comp over the last few decades. A few wins over underperforming LSU teams, and good Oklahoma & Texas AM wins. The Irish need to WIN against good teams (like recent opportunities against OSU and Georgia) and once they do, the board can complain about the Irish being left out. Otherwise, deal with your emotions.

Previous (recent) ND teams were neither as consistent nor as dominant against the "average" teams. In an era of superconferences that have disparate intraconference schedules, dominating the teams you should dominate is more important than ever. So your point is valid, but don't discount how ND has played post NIU.

Yeah, those rude Dallas drivers are transplants from CA, MI, IL, and 3rd World.

Hope the SEC is watching TNF lol

That was glorious to watch. SEC will be very anti-home playoff games in short order. Cleveland gets slammed with lake effect, South Bend is by far the worst in that regard. pOSU and PSU are far enough off the lake aren't they?

That lake effect snow is no joke in SB. I ran right over a stop sign because my car was on skates.

I would think both are far enough away. Occasionally Indy will feel the lake effect off of Lake Michigan, but that’s typically in the dead of winter.

what happens when Texas A&M loses its last 2 games to Auburn and Texas; and our best win is a 4 loss A&M? we’d have no ranked wins and the worst loss of anyone. i think some of those 2 loss sec teams start jumping us and we’d lose home field in the first round. Crucial that A&M at least beats auburn today

You take away the loss, which I know is impossible now, we have dominated our schedule and our defense is national title caliber

idk, if the Texas A&m win loses it’s luster we have the worst resumé in the top 12. our 2 other best wins are: Louisville who shoulda beat us and we beat GT without haynes king and their best defensive player

our defense is elite, i think. (we haven’t played anybody with an offensive pulse besides louisville who outplayed us) and our offense is incredibly mid
