If Riley Leonard plays to his potential (1st round pick) a title is/was certainly on the table. This was a very complete team.
Then it still is. A true sophomore LT with 1 career start doesn’t derail a season.

Best team they’ve had in 30 years. Georgia, etc are good. But aren’t the world beaters in the past. ND had a chance, that chance is super small now. The oline was sketchy before which is fucking amazing to me. A mediocre offensive line at Notre Dame should never happen. They weren’t winning a title this year anyways
I saw "pectoral injury" in some reporter's tweet but who knows what that means. Pectoral tear?Any word on what the upper body injury is / how it happened? Did Bothello finally smash someone in half after a play?
It's a blow for sure, but if we're acting like the season's over because we lost a guy who has started one game of college football, we may not be doing this correctly.
It was a pec tear. For an offensive lineman, that can take a while to recoverI saw "pectoral injury" in some reporter's tweet but who knows what that means. Pectoral tear?

Michigan won last year and I think our team is more talented this year. They weren’t winning a title this year anyways
Agreed - get the best five out there. Get creative. Prister always going on about how Jags is a guard anyway, lets get another guard out on the edge and agree they should try Billy first.Imo. Move Billy there or to RT. Rocco and Coogan at the guard spots.
We have actually been quite lucky the last few years. This is crazy. Something needs to change with this program and the injuries. I know every program has some injuries but we seem to be above average.
Sounds like to me it’s time for some new staff in some areas.
I think any time a team loses 3 starters including their two tackles, they'll be viewed as sketchy until we see it on the field. 120+ teams would give anything to have the caliber of recruits we have on our line.Best team they’ve had in 30 years. I'd rather have an unproven player than a backup lineman who has started 25 games and is a senior like Josh Lugg or Kristofic.I love the soph one start response. Think of that alternatively. No one else was better than that guy. So it's not like there's some senior with 25 starts waiting around for his chance at redemption. It gets WORSE than soph with 1 start.
Fire up the camcorders boysMichigan won last year and I think our team is more talented this year.
Who the hell excites you out of the reserves?Oline was "sketchy" because they had to replace a Top 10 LT and a RT that went in the second round. Your rush to declare them "mediocre" over the loss of one player is pretty hysterical.
What is the basis of your average? This is crazy. Something needs to change with this program and the injuries. I know every program has some injuries but we seem to be above average.
