This^ I was surprised to see Jagusah getting first team projections, but 1) the staff must think he’s legit and 2)I am now really interested to see what weight Wagner is at. I feel like the staff has to be hesitant putting a 280 guy on Angeli’s blindside no matter how athletic and talented he is (and honestly he has looked really light when he plays in garbage time)
Angeli's right handed

I normally don't like starting freshmen on the OL, it's one of the worst positions to have a young guy. Jagusah is the real deal though, and getting him prepared for 2024 is the right move. If he struggles we can always throw Tosh in, but I'd rather let Jag tough it out.

Is there anywhere to watch a full game replay of nd-Stanford on that crappy p12 network? Think Jagusah got in that game.

Plus I doubt Angeli will be getting the ball out quicker than Hartman most downs. May be more sacks because of that.
With little game film to validate, but I see Angeli more mobile than Hartman though and could possibly better avoid some of those potential sacks. Sometime the QB does need to help themself!

It's safest to expect some struggles but if Tosh comes in for Jagusah, we should expect more struggles. If a true freshman is beating out a 4 year player at ND, he must show incredible poise and it must be clear to everyone. Freeman would not put it out there if it was even close to a battle.

The Ore St. DL is a really tough first test but we don't have a lot hanging in the balance. Hopefully the guys are relaxed and excited to get a win.

This development is as shocking to me as Patterson getting moved to OC or Robert Hainsey being a 4 year RT.

Extremely impressed. This dude played serious bully ball yesterday.

I think had he played for Mt. Carmel or Loyola Academy the narrative on him coming out of high school would have been extremely different nationally. I think he went 1-17 in his last two years of HS ball.

Honestly, I was surprised at how well he played, but particularly how he was finishing dudes off until the whistle. He was driving people into the ground more often than not.

Geez…..when was the last time we saw an OL player go out for the season with an upper body injury. Not great, need someone to step up big time. Wishing a speedy recovery to Chuck.

It's a blow for sure, but if we're acting like the season's over because we lost a guy who has started one game of college football, we may not be doing this correctly.
Season isn't over, but you aren't winning a title with Tosh at left tackle. Maybe you can band aid a win vs A&M (much harder now) but you'll need a better long term solution like Lambert or Absher.

They weren’t winning a title this year anyways
