Just goes to show that players there don’t care. And the staff doesn’t either. If they did they would make a statement by punishing one of these guys.

But it “happens everywhere” just unfortunate only Georgia guys getting caught. Writer has some accountability issues as well.
if you ask UGA fans its because Athens PD is unfairly targeting the players. I think any SEC school though that has a run of success things eventually go off the rails with discipline. It was really a measure of Saban that Alabama never went this way to the degree that Florida did under Meyer

I lived in athens the last couple of years. players on the team racing/getting busted for it and causing wrecks is a big problem

the athens police is also known to sweep alot of it under the rug

Players don't care. Staff don't care. School doesn't care. Blue Lives Matter doesn't care.

Feels like someone is going to get killed sooner or later that is simply randomly in the wrong place at the wrong time for one of these assholes to cross paths with.

It already happened when a UGA staffer was killed while bringing back players from a strip club in ATL. Apparently racing another vehicle when the crash occurred. It also involved a UGA DL that faced some legal obstacles prior to the draft that year. IIRC it was 2 or 3 years ago.

Fine. So just add "again" to what I'm saying.

You'd think this would end but evidently not.

I expected better discipline on a Kirby team. This seems to be an ongoing problem. That Kirby hasn't put a complete halt to it is a little surprising to me.

coaches have less power now in the portal era. Any kid that fucks around can't be punished as Bama or any other team would take them in a heartbeat

Shoot not just take them but sometimes drop an absolute bag for the pleasure of having them on the depth chart (see: USC and Bear Alexander)

The starting running back was just arrested for DUI recently. However the DUI was dropped and he plead guilty to minor in possession of alcohol and open container if I remember correctly.

Giving them a break on the dui does nothing.

Great town. One of the best college towns (arguably the best) out there.

He made sure every Charger & Challenger they gave players came equipped with V6's.

I'm surprised the two of them have managed to fly under the radar since the monkey incident. I figured she'd be a constant distraction and the school would end up cutting ties.

FFS, this is like traveling back in time to the Richt days of no discipline. I really expected Kirby to run a tighter ship than this.
