Pedophilia is obviously wrong.

I can understand why no one ran with the story. These vigilante stings are fraught at best and in a scenario like this are likely legally meaningless. Michigan letting him go is obviously something, but there’s no court case and very limited info from the video alone.

I think the best that could be hoped for would be that the sites would have reached out to UM for comment on the firing and run a brief, carefully worded story pending that comment. The timing and hype around the video push doesn’t leave a great taste in my mouth either, so I don’t know that I give great credibility to James Yoder as a fully honest broker here either.

I hate that I’m in any way defending UM blogs and am going to take a long shower to wash that ick off.

TLDR pedophiles suck, this story sucks, there’s gray area in how a football site should handle this.

Sorry, Yoder is the only decent Michigan talking head that brought it up, the rest buried it. These stories shouldn't be covered up, pedophiles need to know there are repercussions for their actions, they should be going to jail and register as sex offenders. Young girls should be protected from predators, and these people should be exposed.

It’s certainly picking up steam but I don’t think that’s enough. And it can’t be just suspension from games but still gets to coach practice like his first one. He needs to be totally away from the program

Not nearly enough for 2023 if this is what it seems. That won't hinder their 2023 team at all.

After the Astros fiasco, the UNC nothing burger and now this? ND gets the Vacated hammer for some nefarious school activities but these turds go free with zero reprecussions. OSU got a BIG championship and bowl game ban for selling jerseys for tattoos, UM needs to vacate wins and be banned from the CFP.

I highly doubt it.

NCAA moves at a glacial pace — nothing will happen from them.

Given that we’re in November, the Michigan leadership will try and prolong this for as long as possible. They only need to ride it out for a little while longer.

The real pressure is on the Big Ten to make a move as they’ve been called to the carpet by all the other members. I’m sure they’re looking for any excuse to continue to stall or fail to take action while the season is ongoing.

I just hope they don’t let Michigan ride it out for the remainder of the season. Vacating wins (including a Big Ten Champ and possible a National Champ) isn’t justifiable punishment. An asterisk littered across their 2023 schedule is nothing more than a slap on the wrist.

So the B10 Commissioner went to UM today? People think hes going to tell UM to self impose punishment lol . This is the issue with commissioners prioritizing views over their actual job.

With the game being Saturday I can't see it. The B1G will need to meet with their attorney's to cross the t's and dot the i's before meting any punishment. Maybe by next weekend. It's also not enough to only suspend Harbaugh. At a minimum, Harbaugh and Minter should get suspended. Probably a few others as well.

"something" would have to happen today, and Friday is the best day of the week to do a news dump if the Big Ten wanted to drop the mic while everyone is commuting home for the weekend.

I'm guessing Sunday or Monday if at all.

yeah i can see/hear it now. Harbaugh gets suspended, michigan beats a team they should beat and its all sorts of this shit doesnt impact games.
