Agree, hope head coach Marco Foreman pushes him that way. They couldn’t run with him if I’m Gooden I’m stacking the box and planning man on the outside
Hopefully Dabo has lost the team and they‘ve quit but I doubt that’s the case. They got embarrassed last season at ND & I suspect they’ll be reminded of that on a daily basis. Dabo will recall it in his pressers this week I’m sure. This week is their last gasp. It’s up to ND to avoid the mental mistakes & turnovers that occurred vs Pitt and snap Clemson’s proverbial neck.I know its fun to laugh at Clemson's expense...but this will likely be a 5-7 point spread according to Vegas (in favor of the good guys)
No shipley (likely) is a big advantage for us.
However, Clemson has talent for days, and likely the last chance a lot of their guys have to put good tape out there for the draft.
We're going to get a big effort, and hopefully our boys are ready to go on the road.
10-2 (with hopefully a NY6 Bowl bid) would be a very good season, and next weekend is likely the last big hurdle to make that possible.
I wouldn't say they dominated them at all on paper. They had more total yards (422-374) but Clemson only averaged 5.1 yards per play. Not to mention, their one touchdown came off a muffed punt that gave them the ball at the Duke 18.I'm not discounting Clemson's offense at all. When they lost to Duke they dominated them on paper and had like 13 more first downs. VS NC State, they had 160 more yards and again 12 more first downs. It's a classic case of talented but never clicking at the same time. At the same time our defense is great, but Clemson is very capable.
Are they smoking something?
Yep, one of those “if they the put it all together they can beat us” type deals. I like that it’s a nooner.I’m guessing given their dismal season, this will be their SB.
Totally. But we also got whooped once, lost another, and were more lucky than anything in a 3rd (Duke). We have already faced much better RBs, much more potent offenses and stouter defenses.
The only stat they outperform us on is rush defense and it’s not that big of a difference and they haven’t faced a stable like ours either.Their defense is still pretty good right? I would not be surprised if it’s a low-scoring game. And while we *should* win, really anything can happen in that sort of contest.
The problem is that 2 of those 3 they could've beat, they should've beat. Miami and NC State aren't good. This would be a bad time to think it was a game in our pocket. It seems to me that Clemson could pretty easily be a one-loss team right now. Without Shipley? OK. That's different ... but Mafah is real good too.
True but we lost to the better RB & the stouter DWe have already faced much better RBs, much more potent offenses and stouter defenses.
