Here's what I'll say about Tommy... 0.0% chance he wouldn't have made adjustments to what Louisville was doing. Maybe they would've worked, maybe they wouldn't have, but he would've tried something. Parker came out of halftime and actually did worse than the first half.
Our first offensive play second half was a toss sweep to boundary with estime when we have everyone near Los, meaning Louisville has 9 or 10 in the box…He thought that play was going to work, let that sink in

At least TR has been considered for a move to the NFL as OC. And thought of highly enough by Saban (ever if he wasn’t Sabans first choice).

I miss Tommy the QB scanning the defense at the LOS and calling audible into the best play. This snapping the into a stacked box is JV

Not sure how much of Milroe improving as QB and the 'bama O actually scoring some points now (but also a strong D) is attributable to Tommy or not, but all of a sudden 'bama and Saban positioned nicely for a CFP run heading into the final portion of the season; and regardless of how much of this is Tommy or not, he has his OC role hitched to Saban and this wagon.

Having watched a bit of most Bama games, I honestly thought yesterday that I kind of like how he’s slowly building a running game and identity that accounts for Milroe’s talents and limitations.

Their QB power game is turning into a real problem… the type of shit you pummel teams into submission with late in the season.

It looks to me like Tommy is a big part of this evolution (whether some like it or not.) He was stuck with two lemons and a raw kid, Saban himself said that they needed to try all three "to see what they had", they dumped the lemons and started building up the kid. Now they have a reasonable force, and I see Tommy inventing better shifts at halftimes than the opponent. Sadly, a resurgent Alabama isn't good for the rest of the world's recruiting (including ours) --- which is why that I (in the face of the howling wind) hope that LSU wins that game.

Hartman+Rees+Hiestand=woulddabeen identity ...
in my opinion, Tommy would have made up for the WR deficits by superior scheming.
Rees isn’t that good. He’s better than Parker(not saying much), but you make him out to be an elite OC

Did any of you see the Rece Davis interview on the Pat McAfee show earlier in the year? Davis recalls Saban telling him at one point, "I asked the Alabama AD if he thought he had hired the best coach for the job?" And after the AD replied yes, Saban replied, "no you haven't, but you hired the best recruiter for the job!" Meaning as we all know, getting the best and talented (or at least with a lot of potential for greatness) players is key to building championship teams. But, then you still have to develop and optimize what you have. Seems like Saban and Tommy are doing just that this year whereas Parker and ND are not on the O side of the ball at least so far this year.

Would of , could of , should of LOL.

My version of that would be if he went to central Michigan.

The Era of MF is here and the future is bright.

Not with our current OC holding him back.

If Bama's defense can slow LSU's offense they're going to the SEC Championship and possibly the playoff. Their offense is getting better, we are not.

Rees and Parker both have Top 15 Total Defense units backing them. It most certainly helps matters.

Sure, but Parker had an established QB, RB, OL, etc to work with and has regressed. Rees has been building a QB and offense over the year.

Last yr we finished 42nd in pts/ game we’re 17th right now

We had two long drives against USC, a very weak defense. The rest of the points came from ST and the defense. We scored 5 TDs in the span of 3 weeks between OSU and Louisville. This is not a good offense.

I've heard a few versions of that comment, all pretty similar. AL.com quoted the late Bama AD Mal Moore as saying that while he and the Sabans were in the air on their way from Miami to Tuscaloosa, Saban turned to him and said, "I just want you to know you've hired a horseshit football coach," Saban told Moore. "But nobody will out-recruit me."

Lol what are you even talking about? "Never lost to them in the regular season" is the most "kissed your sister" framing of a 2-2 record ever.

We destroyed this team last year in all 3 phases, with Pyne! Shipley didn't even play today. This was pathetic.
