Maybe we’ll see one of the west coast teams go with a similar approach but instead use EVs for the tax benefits and social posturing. Or maybe Elon is a closet ND fan and we can get him to pull the trigger 😊

With the 5 chargers in the grater South Bend area that will go well.

Was at the game Saturday night. Louisville's NIL program is called the 502 Circle. They promoted it several times during the game and posted QR codes on the big screen. They just over $59K during the game. While that's not a lot in the grand scheme of things, I thought it was a neat concept for getting others interested where they can go and contribute anytime they want to.

They don't get to keep them- it's just a short-term lease that renews as long as they're still on the team

Anyone else notice the USC NIL deals playing on national TV during the game? Gatorade and Wendy's?

This was always ND's stance at the beginning with NIL right? Eventually the NCAA would circle around to those who used it improperly?

UT, Florida and FSU have already been targeted by NCAA this offseason and I'm sure list is just getting started.

Pardon my ignorance, but what can the NCAA really do? What clout do they have? They’re on borrowed time.

Well irc they fined Tennessee a few million. I believe they can limit number of official visits and scholarships.

I don't disagree they are on borrowed time, but until then they are the regulatory body.

Tennessee's response doesn't seem to indicate they are taking them lightly.

Despite what you see all over the internet, the NCAA's recent Supreme Court case had absolutely nothing to do with NIL. So all this is uncharted waters.

And in the end the NCAA will say they didn’t have the resources to investigate Meatchicken because they were too busy dealing w the cases brought against them.

This is probably the last gasp for the NCAA as far as high end football goes, assuming they lose of course.
Be careful what you wish for would be my advice. Not so much for Tennessee but if Virginia thinks they’re going to be part of the NFLjr league that replaces what we have now they better hope it’s a 64 team league or more.

Didn't know where to put this but 247 interviewed some anonymous recruits about NIL offers. Some numbers discussed.
