Sorry for the random bump. Just wanted to let the IE family know that I got married this morning.

I’m sure I will have something substantive to add to this thread by the end of the weekend.
Wasn't this thread enough proof you need to run away?!

In all seriousness, congrats! The good typically outweighs the bad...as long as you find the right one

Who else’s wife loves to turn lights on in the house doing the brightness of the day? 🙋🏽‍♂️

Just turned off two hallway lights, daughter’s room and a living room lamp.

No difference was made.

The light in the laundry room is perpetually on. All. The. Time. I'm the only one that shuts it off. I have no idea why this is. I'm looking into getting motion sensors or timed light switches.
The upstairs bathroom light is also typically on when I come upstairs, I turn both off multiple times a day.
There have been times I've come home to find every damn light on in the house and nobody home, I kid you not. My father never hit me with the belt, but he may have started if we pulled those shenanigans.

This....Pisses me off to no end. Why in the hell is my closet light on and I didn't in there. I need to keep good on my threats and make her pay the power bill. I have moved 4 times over the past 10 years and the first thing I do is put in LED light bulbs.

I asked my wife if she had a problem with me golfing a round after taking my son to the course (for golf practice). It's 20 minutes each way so it seems silly to make the trip twice (drop off/pickup). She then proceeds to question how she's going to "get everything done before she has to go back to work next week" if I leave for two and a half hours.

Mind you, she's had the whole summer off (she's a school secretary) and has literally pushed all her projects to the week before she goes back.

Oh, and she also turns all the lights on in the kitchen when we have giant windows (it's 9 lights total)...

I must be lucky. Leaving the lights on is one thing mine doesn’t do.

I am recently divorced (2 years) after 30 years with my high school girlfriend (21 married). Truth be told, while the relationship was largely fantastic until the very end, and we have two wonderful children, I am now happy to be single. And I am in no rush to join the ranks of the married again any time soon. Being single has its advantages, mostly in terms of less stress and more free time to explore things I always wanted to but couldn't. Now I don't have to ask anyone's permission. I just do it. I am sure that may change later for the right person, but at the moment I am pretty content.

Sorry to hear that. This reminds me of the SurlyTexas thread on Sugar Babies. Time to start a new thread, go have some fun with some younger girls and document the fun so the rest of us schmucks can live vicariously
