No reason he shouldn't have 1,500 all purpose yards this year. If he stays healthy, feed him (18+ carries) against the top of the schedule.

He should only be in an Irish uni one more year fellas, so enjoy it. Unless we could somehow pony up and get him to pull a corum.

Does he stay another year because of the RB dealings in the NFL? I’d assume not. Just curious of any opposite opinions.

He kinda reminds me of Mike Alstott / Henry clone.

He reminds me more of Fournette. Maybe he’s not quite as elusive, shifty or equipped with breakaway speed, but his overall running style, anbility, and physicality is very similar.

I'd tackle him right down around his ankles and drop him like log.

I can't believe that Bettis played 20 pounds heavier than Estime!

Watch the second half of the 1991 Sugar Bowl against Florida. It’s a treat to watch Bettis run all over them.
I feel like this is one generations version of watching Robert Hughes absolutely abuse USCs defense in the fourth quarter a few years back...

Remember when ND fans wanted to shut the program down because Shipley went to Clemson & we were stuck with Estime & Diggs?

Watch the following year’s Cotton Bowl & his 3 TDs against undefeated A&M in a 28-3 blowout that ruined their title chances in Dallas. A&M was salty & butthurt.

Knowing A&M they still claimed the NC that year.

Estime was a December flip, no? IIRC, people were happy with his commitment and were relieved. But that was much later than the Shipley chaos
People complained he & Diggs together still wasn’t as good as Shipley when he flipped.

And the point was that ND somehow recovered, when people were losing their minds and saying ND was screwed when Shipley committed to Clemson.
Long before Estime, when it was just the Shipley stuff, people acted like ND couldn’t recover…and they did.

Heard Will Shipley basket so many times I now permanently view him as a little red riding hood meme in my mind’s eye.
