If OTT or FISHER go pro he could start right away as a Sophmore

It is certainly possible, but it would depend on the development of Wagner and Chan at that point. Caleb Johnson would be a senior at that point, so he may be ready at that time too. But to your point, if Jagusah progresses nicely as a freshman, he will be in the mix for the spot.

There are some good football linemen named Ott, though ... a surprising number of them.

The block at the 2:19 mark he blocked 2 guys at once and looks like he got his arm out enough to disrupt another. So he took care of 3 guys on one play. That’s bad ass.

Jagusah is the example of the guys ND needs to get more of for the OL.

Big powerful athletes. I also really like what ND has in Absher. I think he's got that big athlete type of mold that you need for tackle.

I could see both being 6'6+ 320+ in their primes.

I recall the play that Lugg made while helping Correll with a defensive tackle. The interior linebacker tried a late blitz around that block's edge, and Lugg put out his right hand into the LBs chest and the push lifted him off the ground --- totally stoned the guy with one arm. THAT's what I believe Jagusah will be capable of.

Idk if Jagusah is going to be ready year 1 but when he is ready he is going to be a monster.

“Kind of just the timing of the injuries I've had throughout high school, I haven't really been able to get super into the weight room. So, I've benched about 315. The most I've ever squatted was 425, I think. Deadlifted 450. That's why I'm excited (to work in Notre Dame's strength program), man. It's like I got Drayk (Bowen) over here benching the same as me. I'm like, damn. (Laughs).”

Is he enrolled early? If not, I hope he isn't doing HS wrestling this year as a senior with all those injuries. Not worth the risk.

I want my lineman wrestling as much as possible. The risk is low. Chance of an injury in soccer or basketball is greater than wrestling.

I think that's the reason he's actually not enrolling early
He's currently injured and not playing in the All Star Game he was selected for. Same with Rico Flores.

I'm assuming the injury is preventing him from wrestling as well.

The sort of guy who could "muscle in" even freshman year. Power and leverage surely no problem. As a wrestling champ, probably elite core strength already. Look out first team.
