Why is he allowed to return?

I believe this is the sixth or fifth ban in about six months.

Funny enough, he was just banned on IB yesterday. He set Driskell off. Implied that he (Driskell) was not honest about his evaluations of recruits or that he had held back criticisms so not to avoid losing some of his connections to the program.

He as Bip Robert’s was banned on II last week too.

Guy has some serious issues that need to be worked out

I am starting to get the feeling that his issues, or his temperament, may not be completely his fault. The inability to read the room points the finger towards an obvious area..

We have our ways of checking and monitoring return users but it’s not always completely foolproof.

One thing for 1988 he sure does drive up posts and site interactions. It’s been pretty dead around here lately. Dare i say malaise. I mean we have been having to settle for the PG-13 version in Irish Drunk who just doesn’t whip up the piss kinda like 1988 did. May he rest in banishment until his next new screen name.

Stepping on a rake.gif

I might have told this story before, so excuse me if so, but this gif made me laugh. Several years ago, my step-daughter, who was about 13 or 14 at the time, stepped off the edge of the porch onto a rake and got absolutely nailed right in the forehead. I remember watching it happen and just thinking, "Oh dear God, I thought this only happened in a Tom & Jerry cartoon." I got to see it in real life! She staggered backwards and burst into tears (it REALLY hit her hard and left a bruise and lump). I put my arm around her, comforted her, made sure she was OK and got her an ice pack, but on the inside, I was laughing like mad and making sure I'd always remember this priceless moment. LOL

With VPNs and other tricks it can be difficult to lock down permanent bans sometimes.

As far as Driskell, it doesn't take much to set that little kid off. Hell, even the truth can do that.

im pretty sure we have multiple posters who have a variety of usernames. i wouldnt be surprised if whoever is behind 1988 isnt one of your other least favorite posters who manages to play it more cool.

I was once banned from this board because I asked whether or not anyone else had an HTC Vive and what games they liked (yes, in those exact words) in the "What Video Games are you playing" thread because... well I was never told why.

that was the Golden Era of this site and my reign was glorious. Nowadays I have no control over some of these hot headed young whipper snappers. Different times back then.
