His junior tape is pretty darn good. His measurements and pre senior rankings remind me of a certain Alabama defensive end…

Yet somehow i still love it....

I'm not one to bitch about the changing cfb landscape, though it helps to become less caring about individual players. I'll cheer for 'em on Saturdays and listen/ read about the team as i remain infatuated with ND football. Everything evolves or dies.
The actual football actually being played is fun, for the most part. The rest just passes the time. Thankfully.

I think what is going on now is a good thing and long overdue. It will run wild and eventually calm back to the center at some point. ND will keep moving on. None of it is going anywhere as long as the money keeps coming.

Fall is better than right now, though. Recruiting really passes the time. Good filler.

Saw Sinclair and Uyeyama both reference some Joe Alt vibes, (genetics, raw, nfl frame) and couldn't agree more. Kids blessed with a lot of gifts, does he have the desire needed ti be great?

Dline class shaping up nicely.

I think he has a chance to be a game-wrecker. Agree with the Joe Alt comparison. This dude is talented

Tough to be believe a guy with his measurables doesn’t end up a top 250 recruit across the board, similar to Gobaira

10 commits that are composite 4 stars on 247 means we out at the minimum going to get a Kelly level class, talent wise. Good spot to be in April.

ND’s true path to a NC is to stack 4 stars and have great QB play, whether that’s Carr or bring in a Hartman.

Pretty wild the freshman class for next year will likely include two guys on defense whose dads are NFL hall of famers. That’s gotta be rare

Really like the pieces they’re putting together.

Finishing the DT class seems less certain right now but hard to complain with the DL class so far. Good group.

I’m with Jamie U on both Mullins and Young. I think there is a better chance Mullins stays at Vyper and Young grows into SDE, possibly 3T.

I think that has to happen with young, he doesn’t have that athleticism for vyper, but it could be really good for SDE/3T

I’m not going to sugarcoat it… Young is my favorite commit on Defense so far.

Evidently he is in the middle of a growth spurt, so when he was rated he was around 6’3 & 210, but now he is just under 6’6 and over 240, and skinny looking.
He’s going to be over 6’6 & 270ish when he gets to ND.
And genetics matter. High football IQ, athletic, hard worker & overall smart kid.

I’m going to go ahead & predict he is going to be the best of the D-line recruits.
