There appears to be some traction, but I was more so using him as a placeholder.

Could be him, or they could end up with moving somebody like Vilamu-Asa or Sullivan from LB. Or they could just take all 3 and see how it works. Like I said, they need edge rushers, and Smith and Young could very likely outgrow the Vyper position.

The likes of Tennessee, Michigan, USC, Wisconsin and Miami have all offered Young, but it was Notre Dame that extended a scholarship to him after seeing him camp last June. It’s rare to see the Irish be first to offer a player.

“Yeah that was pretty cool — knowing that they had trust in me before I had the [junior] tape,” Young said. “They believed in me so much.”

Young is entering decision mode. He could be days or weeks away from making a commitment at this point. The Irish should be considered the favorite for him, and he also has an official visit date locked in for the weekend of June 9.

I think the worrying part is more than covered. Nobody needs me for that. Maybe tell those dudes not to post. Or use an ignore button, my favorite feature outside of the Salma Hayek gifs.

Yet somehow i still love it....

I'm not one to bitch about the changing cfb landscape, though it helps to become less caring about individual players. I'll cheer for 'em on Saturdays and listen/ read about the team as i remain infatuated with ND football. Everything evolves or dies.
