I get the Indiana angle but being from Indiana should not qualify you to coach at Notre Dame.

I agree with you and am not suggesting it is, but my assumption is it is the reason why is name is coming up. It's typically how these "lists" get put together. He's been an assistant under Brad Stevens and Matt Painter, then gets his first crack at an HC job at 45 years old with Penn State, not exactly a basketball beacon. If he has a good enough reputation in basketball circles, and it seems that he does, Swarbrick will hear those good things and potentially give the guy a call or not.
His resume certainly shows he's grinded and worked his way up to where he's at. He's currently won more games than he has lost at Penn State, which is something that typically hasn't happened at that program more recently with the guys before him.
Chris Quinn has been an assistant in the NBA for nearly ten years and with one team. He's undoubtedly had some calls over the years we have to assume. I just don't see it happening, but if it did, it would be quite a coup for ND Basketball
