He’s fast…but is out of position, doesn’t read plays well yet, & needs to control his emotions better.
People will love Sneed because he was a 5 Star, but Jr, as. True Freshman, playing multiple positions, had a much, much better year than Sneed.
I need to see a big football player improvement from Sneed if people think he needs to start next year.
All true, but the hope is he will make a big jump going into next season.

What happened on that Unsportsmanlike penalty in the 4th? During the replay it looked like Sneed got put into the ground, but I didn't see what he did to draw the penalty? Did he get up and deck a guy or give him the business? I didn't get a good look and the talking heads didn't elaborate.

Think they gave it to him for going low on an OT...even though he was pulled down. Was a very bad call

They never showed so it’s hard to tell but yeah seems like it was something that came out of him getting sat on by the OL.

Either way, I’m glad Sneed got legit minutes today. He has flashed talent but also looked a bit out on the edge whenever he has played. A bit like Jerry Tillery as a true freshman and he turned into a very good ballplayer for Notre Dame.

An entire spring/summer/fall for Sneed should give him enough time to supplant someone. I've missed the JOK-level of play from a LB and I want to see it again. If he can be assignment sound 90% of the time, his playmaking probably justifies the occasional bust.

He's not there yet but I really want to see him and Kollie in the LB corp, even if it's a subpackage.

2022 we were clearly a Nickel team mainly based off Bracy. I don’t know if that’s the case in 2023. Maybe it is if Mickey blossoms at Nickel. But if not and they lean more into a third LB or safety, Sneed will likely have a lot to do with it.

If Sneed is not a starter next year something is wrong.

Sneed will make a name for himself next year. It seemed like last year he had to be double blocked when blitzing.

Maybe nickel for the Ohio State and USC games, but more rover and less nickel could be the play next year, especially because it would probably help in the run game and with blitzes which might be needed if the DL isn't at the same level as this year.

Two personal fouls in very limited action. Probably evidence of what the coaches have been saying about him not really being ready.

But the first one was a pretty chickenshit call and god only knows what happened on the second one.

Typical crappy job by ESPN. Missing penalty calls, injuries (did they ever point out Morrison was out?) and entire plays (TD pass by punter). But they did interview Mayer and Foskey during the game!

He seemed small vs OL. Has speed, but needs o control his emotions. Hope the off season helps him bulk up some and prepares him for a great '23 season.

Lol compared to most OL, every LB is going to look small.
True, just every time I noticed him he was getting buried to the turf by one or even two OL. I wondered if since being from SC, he was especially "targeted" by some of his old homies. Still, needs some weight, which i know will come with time.

Looked like he was having trouble keeping his footing on a couple of rushes at the end. Looking forward to his development.

When Freeman was at Cincinnati, he used Jarell White a lot as a blitzer off the edge. White was 5'10 205. I can see Sneed playing a similar role as the one White had under Freeman.
