What do we think are the odds Joseph comes back next year?
It may come down to the NIL package vs. draft grade. If that is the case, I could see a return. He was ok, but I'd be surprise if his grade was anything above 3rd/4th round.

Don't they only give you a grade if you project to the top three rounds? (otherwise it's "stay in school.")
But yeah Joseph would be better off coming back. He was fine but just fine, then missed a bunch of games. With a solid NIL package he can earn what he'd earn as a lower-round draft pick, and then play his way up the draft board next year. I'm guessing he has his degree this year, but if not that's another reason to stay.

But some of the people on here claim our NIL is crap. So why would he return at all? 🙄

Freeman answered a few questions from the media yesterday after our first practice in Jacksonville. Can be read on 247 (free). They asked him if there were any new names re opt outs or injuries. He didn’t answer directly. Said maybe, will say so on Thursday.
I took this as a yes.
Many pictures from practice on ISD. Jayson A in sweats.

He thinks everybody plans to go and play through anything, but he'll update on Thursday.

Omg I saw several of those in New Orleans. Nasty Fuckers.

Nutria populations have exploded in Louisiana the last twenty or so years. They largely inhabited only the coastal areas but had steadily migrated further and further north. Likely due to a drop in fur-trapping in the 80s and 90s.

It's gotten so bad that Louisiana tried to create some sort of market in the culinary scene, but it never quite caught on.

An unpleasant Beaver. Most would stay away from it... unless alcohol is involved.

The best advice is stay away from New Orleans. It’s a urine-soaked, moldy cesspool. “But the food!!…”

New Orleans is the bad cheese comp when thinking food comps for US cities.
For those who dig that form of debauchery, it's excellent.

So Joseph is out so ND will start DJ Brown & Houston Griffith? I know X Watts has really improved. With Foskey & Jayson A out, can ND get enough pass rush to pressure Rattler into some bad decisions or does Rattler light up the Irish D?

If the Gamecocks can get any kind of rush game (which ’on paper‘ looks like a mismatch in ND’s favor), ND will be in trouble and it’ll carry over to the offense if they have to play catch Up w/ a run-first QB who hasn’t played in two plus months.

Looks like we will find out how crucial Mayer was to the run game this year as the USCe D won’t have to account for him in the bowl.

UNC has an elite QB w/ a questionable run game and ND did a great job against them. They limited CJ Stroud but that was a long time ago. Caleb Williams was a one-man offense but it led to their run game really lighting up the ND D.

I have no clue who wins this game.

I see the line has us favored now at -3.5.... Didn't we start as the underdog?

Yea we were +2 or so when it opened I believe

Edit: my bad, I was remembering the initial SP+ where we were dogs by like 3 points. All of the opening lines had us as favorites.

I'm thinking ND moneyline and the under.

South Carolina can't stop the run even at full strength, and they're missing two starters on the D line. They are also missing every offensive skill position starter. ND will keep the clock running and pound it, and SC will have a hard time putting together any offense.

Being down Joseph and Jayson A hurts. Mickey or Lewis really needs to hold their own.

Going to need Nana, Mills, Botelho to step up and keep the pressure on Rattler. The d backs need to play well too. It seems a bit like USC where their QB is the best player on the field and it isn’t that close. We’ll need to neutralize that.

Offensively, assuming he can take a hit, Buchner only makes our running game even stronger. Hopefully they then overcompensate and he can throw it over their heads a few times (which Pyne also could not do). Barring big mistakes I’m not that worried about our ability to score, oddly enough.

I think we’ll win but it’s so hard to know with so many key players out. That said I suspect we are deeper and I’m pretty confident Freeman will have the guys ready to play.

Not sure if posted, but B1G officials in this game today. So, we shouldn't see too much zebra stupidity.
