When’s the last day coaches can go in home? Freeman needs to show up with the team bus out front of Bowens house the day of signing day

December 17th is the last date of the Contact Period prior to the early signing day.

At this point, I think it's safe to say I got ya'll pretty good. I've never seen so many crybabies in my life. The sad part is the fact that I wasn't even trying. If I were, you guys would be so messed up, you wouldn't even be able to get it up for your wives, or blow up dolls, whatever you prefer. No, I waxed some ass in this discussion and it wasn't even close.

If he's smart, he'll go with Jackson to OU, unless he wants to go to Bama or Georgia. But OU over Notre Dame is a no-brainer. I know a "bag of cash" deal when I see one and that's all that was. Now he's trying to decide if he should ride it out in Rudyland or go where he belongs. 🤔
You sound like a shit salesman with a mouthful of samples.

Reminds me of the old SNL debate with Ross Perot and Clinton.

Clinton touting his progress:

When I started as governor,we were fiftieth in adult literacy, and last year, I’m proud to say, we shot ahead of Mississippi. We’re #49, and we’re closing fast on Alabama. Watchout, Alabama – we got your number!

Just this year we passed Mississippi to become 41st in the prevention of rickets.

I'll try and give Oklahoma some credit for this season. They ended the season with losses to Baylor, Texas Tech & West Virginia by a combined nine points, but have one win against a team with a winning record, which happened to be Oklahoma State. Oklahoma State faltered during the second half of the season, finishing 7-5 after starting 6-1. You can't fault them too much for that, as thats the schedule they ended up having for this season.

You are a Sooners fan, so obviously you can speak more in-depth about the team, the players, what went wrong etc. But, you are not fielding a team of scrubs. Oklahoma has always been a team that recruits well, the rankings will attest to that, so it's not a roster without talent- even with some transfers. You lost some great players, which is the nature of the sport, as it happens to the best of teams year after year. It's hard to win anything without some sort of talent at QB, especially in the Big-12 where defense has always been an optional component to success. You brought in Dillon Gabriel, who's a pretty solid QB in his own right, but unfortunately he suffered a nasty concussion from a brutal hit, and missed some games.

Oklahoma wasn't able to put it together this year. But, at a certain point, you can't put the season only on the players. It's up to the coaches to use what they have to attain success. Some great coaches have done better with less at lesser programs in their first year. You do have a near Top 5 recruiting class coming in,

Perhaps next season may change, but keep in mind, Arnold Jackson will be a true freshman, so it's best to tamper your expectations for a year. It's not common for a true freshman to come in and take over the college landscape, re-write the program's trajectory, and become a superstar. It happens, but only a smaller percentage - even with five star QBs.

Now, obviously you are here to do some minor trolling about Peyton Bowen. At this point, I feel that of us ND fans who follow recruiting, believe it's split - half think he will flip, half don't. Oklahoma has been trying since the spring to make it happen, so if anything, you got to applaud the persistence. Oklahoma has some things in the favour - distance from home, GF attending OU etc., but you guys literally pitched him a substantial NIL package, as a few of my fellow posters have brought up, which you have yet to address. Your last resort is "well, shit.... let's just write you a big enough cheque."

To point out one final thing. This a ND board. Obviously. But we do have posters that follow other teams that are a part of the community on IrishEnvy. There's even a Bama fan on here that doesn't troll, who adds quality posts, and has been a valued member for years. But, something tells me you are here for Bowen, and Bowen only. Maybe you stick around, but I have a suspicion it will be when Oklahoma is trying to poach a ND commit.
Baylor, Texas Tech and West Virginia are a combined 18-18.

They beat ONE team this season with a record above .500.

I didn't expect them to be perfect, but 6-6 and losing to all but one teams with a winning record, when you have a larger composite of talent than 11 of your 12 opponents is putrid.

Oklahoma is like Beverly Hills compared to Indiana.
Been to Oklahoma. Didn't have a strong opinion on it. Was sorta what I imagined a place between Kansas and Texas would be like.

Been to Indiana. Seemed like an okay place. A warmer North Dakota but with a lot more rust.

Curious: Are there beautiful, scenic parts of Oklahoma? There are in Indiana, but I always just picture Oklahoma as a dust bowl type of setting with tumbleweeds and oil derricks everywhere.

No, unless you consider flat, plains, sea of dusty dead grass, and warning signs about driving into smoke scenic.

I don't know how much Bowen is going to be getting around either state doing any sightseeing. Division I athletes are sort of busy most of the time.

Now if we're talking about Oklahoma and Indiana, I'm going to need a third option of some sort.
