If he wants to go to OU, then cool, go. Just man up a bit and make a decision. Affirm to ND or decommit and go to OU. He's had more than enough time to make a decision by now. Letting it go on this long and leading on both teams does nothing but build animosity and bring into question the kid's integrity.

OU probably staring down 6 - 7. FSU is gonna beat them pretty handily IMO.

It wasn't just OU though.

There were several schools he could've OV'd to and gotten perspective. He chose not to and stayed committed.
He's not considering any of those anymore so what's the relevance other than it wasn't visiting the school he is committed to.

Poster on OU 247 noticed Bowen enrolled at OU in the directory which isn’t surprising or abnormal to enroll at each school you’re interested in. Appears he’s filed the paperwork for ND as well. However, Drumm chimed in saying he’ll have an update the OU fans will like soon.
Drumm is just like EJ who covers scUM and so don't buy into what you read from him

No, Drumm isn’t like EJ. Parker is like EJ. Drumm is the one saying he’ll believe it when he sees it in terms of Bowen flipping.

With that being said, Drumm is feeling better about OU’s chances. OU was at his game on Saturday and the staff hung out with his family watching the game and were able to talk to Peyton after the game. Everyone around Guyer is basically saying they can’t see him ending up anywhere but Oklahoma. Other teams in the race i.e. Oregon and A&M think it’s OU with ND trying to hold them off. His gf signing to play soccer there, along with location to home, etc. gives the feeling OU is going to win out. OU going back in home on Wednesday.

They've been saying the same thing for months.

I think Peyton staying committed to us all along should be a positive and in ND's favor??

To be honest what does he see in OU?? Venables seems like a smug coach that won't last at OU.
I mean, it's close to home, his quarterback is going there and so is his girlfriend. Of the schools that call Dallas home turf, they have generally been the strongest. I get the appeal.
But OU is the safe choice (and they seem on the decline as a program right now). There's a reason he committed to Notre Dame in the first place. He should remember that, step out of his comfort zone, and come be part of something great.

Yes the unofficials to schools confirmed to be cheating in recruiting. I’m sure they didn’t cover any expenses.
I firmly believe, w/no hard evidence that all the big schools either figure out a way to coordinate the covering of unofficials, or turn a blind eye to the entities that cover the expenses.

Well it's been reported they are paying the kids just to take the visit so instead of paying for it with their credit card they are providing the cash up front

Drumm with another post saying there’s more to the most recent update he provided, but he can’t divulge it yet that bodes well for OU. I would really love to be a fly on the wall for these in homes to know what he’s telling each side.

Even with a fax I feel like he’s a Eddie Vanderdoes waiting to happen where he could have buyers remorse the moment he sends the fax.

I always appreciate your optimism but this one is over. He has been gone for a while. Luckily we recruited several options besides him at safety.
Uh, if he's been gone for a while, why is he still committed?

If he was gone, why lie to the staff for months when you're obviously out the door?

The fact that he's still committed to ND means he obviously has reasons to come here. It's all about Freeman and the staff reminding him of why he chose ND in the first place.

At this point, he is straight up lying to Oklahoma and everyone around him — including his GF — if he sticks with ND. Color me skeptical.
Wait, so his GF is telling an OU beat writer that Bowen told her he's going there. Lol at where college football has gone

Some of you are kidding yourselves if you think OU isn't gonna be really good in a couple of years. You can't go off this season. Riley literally left Venables nothing but crap to work with. This was always gonna be a sacrifice year because the leftover kids and transfers were never gonna make the transition to the new system. The Sooners are gonna be just fine after the makeover is complete.

Congrats on being the best 3-loss team in the SEC west for the next couple decades!

We will see. I'm getting "Nebraska but with a better recruiting hotbed nearby" vibes

Yeah, I just don't really think so. I mean, I can totally see why their staff would try to spin it to recruits this way, but lets take a look at it. They aren't going to be beating Alabama. They are going to lose most, if not all to LSU, Sark is better than Venebles, so Texas will likely beat them more times than not. Kiffin is better than Venebles, so I see Mississippi beating them more times than not. In complete honesty, they strike me in the range of Miss. St. and Arkansas. I could see them being about on equal par to them. So many 7-5 type seasons, with an occasional 9-3 mixed in.

Once again, I can see the Oklahoma staff trying to spin that Riley took all their talent to LA and once they reload they will be competing for the title, but lets be realistic. If you watch Oklahoma, their problem isn't that the talent left. They play in the Big 12. They are still way more talented than any team they are playing. The problem is coaching. The are very poor fundamentally. If you coach at all, you can tell they aren't coached well. The fundamentals are very poor. This isn't because they just inherited the program. Well coached teams are the opposite. In year one you can tell they are well coached and will improve because you can see their fundamentals. Poorly coached teams have bad fundamentals all year.

If the coaches are trying to tell players like Peyton that the reason they are struggling is because Riley took their talent to LA, but they will be good when they get "their" players in. That's just a falsehood. The reality is that staff isn't very good at coaching. Hence, usually around 7-5, 6-6 under this staff for Oklahoma for the next 4-5 years until the Sooners move on.

The staff has been in contact and after the Moore incident, I suspect MF and staff aren't afraid to ask the tough questions up front. If he isn't going to sign with ND, something would have leaked out from the Gug by now.
