March: TOMMY YES. Tommy gets a silent commitment from an elite, 5-star QB.
June: TOMMY NO. Tommy under fire, as his silent commit is playing him for a fool.
July: TOMMY NO. Tommy victim to a silent de-commitment, followed by losing his top prospect to Oregon and The Bag.
September: TOMMY NO. Tommy under fire as his offense has no chemistry or identity.
September/October: TOMMY YES. Tommy's backup QB plays well in wins over UNC and BYU.
October Again: TOMMY NO. Tommy under fire as his backup QB can't overcome the poorest fumble luck of all time, losing to Stanford in a truly low moment.
November: TOMMY YES. Tommy's offense starts to gel behind the OL and RB's and the backup QB plays well enough to score 35+ in 5 straight games.
November Again: TOMMY YES. Tommy lands a 4-star QB as a backup plan, who both seems to fit Tommy's offense very well, AND was hijacked from Pat Narduzzi. Perhaps the strongest affirmation yet of Tommy's ability to continue as OC at ND.
What a rollercoaster of emotions!
