I don't think I've seen a Costco-branded frozen pizza at Costco. My Costco sells the Motor City Pizza deep dish pizzas, which are really good.
Yes. Detroit Style Pizza is the bees knees! Buddy's is the best, Cloverleaf is also legit. If ya'll ever find yourself in metro-Detroit for whatever reason (insert Detroit jokes below, I'm used to it), do yourself a favor and find the closest Buddy's pizza and thank me later.

New York Style > Everything.... Don't @ me
I actually agree with you, sir. I LOVE NY Style, floppy pies man. Fold it and enjoy it. And I've never been to NYC so I can only imagine the slices I'm enjoying here are no where near as good as the premiere places in the city.

NY Style >>> Detroit Style >>> whatever Chicago natives call that breaded lasagna

.....I said what I said.

Here’s another Indiana pizza take, and this will be unpopular to a lot, but Pizza King is absolute garbage. Like eating a saltine with a few toppings.
its all about which one you go to. the majority of them are shit, but theres a few independent locations that are great

Noble Roman’s was legit, especially the deep dish. There was one a few miles from me that just closed a couple of weeks ago. Very few left.

Godfathers was another really good joint, but they closed them quite a while back. They’ve popped up in some gas stations. Not bad and pretty close to the original.
Weren't they just in K Marts for a while? The Noble Romans I mean

Chicago tavern style is better than all
This.

Every argument involving NY v. Chicago pizza always defaults to the "Chicago"-style deep dish, but then ignores the true hidden gem, which is the tavern style, which blows Chicago's deep dish out of the water. It is the apex of pizza. Square cut, buttery flaky crust and the perfect blend of sauce and cheese.

Can't say I've had it and if it isn't that crusted lasagna ya'll call pizza, I'll for sure give it a go.

TBH, I do enjoy a chicago slice here and there but to me it's not pizza if you can't enjoy at least 2 "slices" without going into a food coma lol.

The tavern style sounds delicious. Next time I'm in the windy city I'll give 'er a go.

I don’t think I’ve had the Chicago style that looks like lasagna. I’ve seen pics and yeah,… never had but a legit deep dish single layer pizza with crispy crust is amazing. I also like tons of toppings and NY style just can’t handle it.

You guys are going to think I’m crazy with this one but trust me. There’s a pizzeria every corner where I’m from and I’ve had slices from them all. There’s one place that does a grandma pie (basically a thin crust Sicilian) with those greasy ass pepperoni cups drizzled with some hot honey. Try it for yourselves if you can. And like an earlier poster, I’m so addicted to pizza I have my own pizza oven at home and make my own wood fired pies.

There’s a spot here in EP (Blazers has had it) that has the best authentic Neapolitan style pizza I’ve ever had, including in Naples. One of those ‘never would have guessed’ spots

This is the way. Can't beat authentic Neapolitan wood-fired pizza.

There's a new Chicago-style place here in NKY that is pretty damn good, though I've only had Chicago-style *in* Chicago one time, and that was back in 2012, so I couldn't even say how it compares.

I just know that if you're in downtown Cincinnati, it's worth the trip across the bridge to give it a try.

Which restaurant was that in Chicago? Uno Pizzeria likes to hang their hat on the fact they were first but they definitely weren't the ones who perfected the form.

It wasn't one of the big-name places. It was a hole-in-the-wall joint in a crappy part of town near our hotel.

I think their specialty was that they put the cheese on top of the sauce, rather than vice-versa. It was still really good though, I remember that much.

Chicago has a third kind of pizza called the double decker. It’s two thin crust on top of each other. That’s my twice a year go to. Heavy heavy meal though.

As someone who grew up in a very Italian Philly suburb, I can’t believe what I’m reading. No one I knew growing up would even think of ordering from these shitty chains lmao.
Tostinos??
