Positive vibes and well wishes to all those in the path of Ian.likely to be a Cat 5 by landfall
What area? Mines in Brandon.I hope my friend continues to give me updates from his home outside of Tampa. He's away from the coast a bit, but the storm is starting to roll in now.
Yeah it’s hitting a little further south than originally projected. Expecting 12-16 foot crests in that area.I’ve got some family with a house on Sanibel. They fully expect nothing to be remaining.

Same. Our family has 3-4 places between us in FMB/Bonita Bay/Estero. Nervous for the impact—especially if the Imperial experiences significant flooding, also.Have a place in Bonita springs. Just got a little more worried.
My parents do as well, they go for the winter. Looks like the eye is going to go a little north but the area will get a pretty big storm surge.Have a place in Bonita springs. Just got a little more worried.
My fiancés parents live in Naples and they're staying put. Crazy.Parents have a house in North Naples. Doesnt seem like many people are evacuating there according to them.
Wimauma.What area? Mines in Brandon.
Mines in Bonita Bay. Love the place, hope there’s not to much damage. Since we got it 7 years ago we’ve been lucky and have missed every stormSame. Looks like they're just 20 miles south of Brandon.Wimauma.
Stay safe.I live in Tampa in the Zone E evacuation zone, which was neither a mandatory or voluntary evacuation zone. So, I'm just riding this thing out. The hurricane itself is supposed to roll into Tampa towards the early evening, so we'll see that storm surge and heavy winds/rains at that point. Since the hurricane hit land further south, the winds in Tampa won't be near as bad, but the flooding is going to suck.
