Byu ranked too low, ND ranked a little too high.
I don't think we're ranked too high, because while this team has questions, I can't look at any team behind us and say they look better than us on paper.

BYU might be ranked too low, but I think about last year and how they faired and while 10-3 looks impressive, they caught Utah early before they committed to Cam Rising at QB. They also dropped their bowl game to UAB. They also got handled by Baylor and lost at home to a very average Boise State squad. They also had 1 score contests with 1-11 Arizona and 2-10 South Florida.

BYU might be really good but people are banking on their defense being good because of returnees which I am not sold on. 31 to USC, 49 to Virginia, 38 to Baylor, 31 to UAB. I am sure it will be strong, but doubt they're a top 10 defense. They lose Allgieir on offense and he accounted for nearly 2000 yards from scrimmage. The rest of their RBs combined accounted for 300 yards rushing. I hope they are really good as long as ND beats them, I am just not sold they actually will be.

If A&M is sixth then the Irish is too low. On paper the Irish is way better and better than Clemson IMO. Maybe it’s the pollsters chalking up the big three and then just throwing everyone else out there.

I honestly think it’ll be hard for BYU to finish top 25 with that schedule but I do think they’re one of the best 25 teams coming in,… most years there is a team or two like that

A&M? I tend to agree. Clemson, IMO; is in better shape b/c their defense is ridiculous…especially the front. Their QB took a step back last year but he had an entire year under his belt behind a trash OL. One of 2 things will happen to him this season: 1. He either becomes comfortable in the pocket & w/in the offense & plays like he did vs ND in 2020 or 2. He shows no improvement & Dabo pulls the plug ASAP and goes w/ the 5-star in waiting.

New QB, limited experience at RB and razor thin at WR. I'll take #5 all day.

I think we are about right. Alabama and OSU are clearly the top two with Georgia and Clemson coming in a notch below and then a cluster of teams that could be ranked 5 thru 10/11.

I also think that Uiagalelei takes a huge step forward. He had some personal stuff going on last year and he has lost around 30 lbs. I think having the issues behind him and his weight loss will make for a big year for him...unfortunately...

I think we manage to do it. OSU's losses last year were to two teams that ran the ball.
Hopefully Buchner can do what Book was never able to do -- stretch the field so OSU doesn't/can't stack the box. Because I agree with you -- if we win, it will be because of a big day on the ground.

If we're talking about lines, then top three all day long.
But we're not. So somewhere in the bottom of the top ten would be reasonable
until we see what our offensive skill people can do. We're riding on dreams there
(except for Mayer.)

His biggest issue is the five guys in front of him. As bad as ND's line looked last year the first few weeks, Clemson's may have been worse. ND had issues with experience and depth, not talent. I'm not sure what the issue is with Clemson but Ugabadoogee isn't going to do much this year if that line doesn't improve.

Clemson o-line recruiting sucks.

Clemson's QB looked way out of his depth about half the plays last year regardless of mediocre OLine play.

He has a long way to go. I would not be surprised to see a younger guy take over eventually.

He looked completely lost all year. That said, he looked like a future heisman winnner against ND the year before.

How did scUM go from 8 to 4 by beating CSU?!?!
Honestly, however bad we feel about Clemson's offense, they still beat a power 5 team 41-10. How does Michigan beat a group of five team and leapfrogs them?

I think this is fair but am still surprised we didn't drop to 10 at least. I'll take it!
