Agreed, I just really only consume his content on The Shamrock pod.
I still really like Pete, but I cannot listen to that podcast. He and Fortuna have absolutely no chemistry and the podcast is just boring as a result.

II is really well done and when they focus on just football it's my go to. I'll have to give IB another listen.

Pete is a better writer than pod-host.
He makes a good co-host (or guest now?) when he's on the II pod. Like when he chips in versus leading the way.

Additionally, I like Blue and Golds hustle and more "modern" (youthful) feel, but it's not the same balance without Lou Somogyi holding down the ND history and "long term" perspective. Tim Hyde (and Goolsby) add some nice football analysis, but nowhere near Lou's historical feel for the University as a whole.

Give IB a listen if Ryan Roberts is on, otherwise its just Driskell stepping all over Vince's D, and Vince liking it. Vince seems like a nice guy, but is like a wife in an abusive relationship.

Does anybody else listen to the ISD podcast? Maybe it’s just me but Freeman comes off as extremely uninterested and not prepared.
I haven’t listened to Power Hour in years. It was way better as a live show with callers back in the day.

ND Podcasts — in general — seem like self-indulgent wastes of time if there isn’t some interactive component or interview component or other hook. I’m not interested in hearing someone just spout their personal opinions for an hour.

An hour?
Irish Breakdown is 5-6 times a week (during the off season!) and regularly goes over 3 hours per show......

I like II podcasts as the most "professional".
I like the chemistry of both Frank and Jamie plus Singer and Goolsby.
Driskell without Vince is a good podcast, with Ryan or without.

I’ve heard Irish Insight is pretty good :)
The Tom Loy interview was really good. Of all the post-coaching podcasts, that was one of the best out of the Inside ND/Power hour/II/B&G and of course the daily BK grievance 4 hour marathons.

I'm sorry, I know Goolsby is "one of ours", but he's a complete meathead. I don't see what he adds to the podcast tbh...

Please post links to all of your content here in the future. I'd love to take it for a spin!

Tim&Tim are really, really good. It's just the things they talk about, I've already consumed here in a fraction of the time.

I think O'Malley could've made it big time in various forms of media and it wouldn't have to have necessarily been sports related.

Don’t really know or care who’s “right” here so not blowing up Rhett’s thread. The Twitter talking head and Driskell are fighting.

While I doubt Driskell always, this ND prime account basically being like oh Rhett told me it’s not NIL or academics so they are both wrong is kinda funny. What was he gonna say haha?

I was a huge fan of Mayock calling ND games. Broke things down so well and so easy. Is Tirico doing ND games and every Sunday Night Football game for NBC?

I know a large contingent of ND fans will want Brady Quinn as the color analyst. I think Bruce Feldman even suggested it in a tweet. I wouldn’t be against him provided he adjust his Blue & Gold goggles enough to be less biased. He reminds me of Holtz when he’s on a studio show in that he sticks w/ ND no matter the odds. That’s fine but I personally don’t want an ND cheerleader in the booth. Not saying I don’t want Brady b/c he possesses the skills…turn it down a notch. Plus, would a true pro PBP guy want a homer in the booth?

I'm just fine with a Notre Dame sympathetic "bias" on Notre Dame football.
Quinn is in no way too bent-out-of-shape that he won't report accurately.
I don't want announcers who rush to doubt every ND-favorable ref's call.
... Notre Dame football is not an "equal time for shade-throwers" job opportunity;
bring in some asshole like Keyshawn Johnson if one wants that ---
well maybe that's over the top excess --- I'll tone it down to a swipe at Flutie.

... but Mike Mayock WAS the best we've had.

I would love it if NBC disregarded the idea of some homer-style bias in the color commentary.

I love catching a premier league game where one of the guys clearly has beef with one of the teams, likely from his own playing days. The disdain is so thinly-veiled at times that it's hilarious.

We already tried that with Flutie?

I dunno. The beloved former player bit can work when it's local radio or something, but feels gimmicky on a national TV broadcast. Just bring back Mayock. He was the best.

I don’t know the number, but it’d be surprised if NBC both could afford Brady Quinn and would make that choice just for ND.

The homer broadcast team can be for an alt feed on Peacock or something. Stick Mike Golic Jr, Jac C, Jessica Smetana etc on there

I'm in favor of Mayock... but I don't think Brady Quinn being a little friendly towards ND would feel too gimmicky, unless he had zero sense of self control or timing. It would be nice to know that opposing fans are annoyed for a change, rather than our own lol.

I've enjoyed the limited exposure I've had to Golic Jr. in the booth. The shenanigans in the booth during the Duke Mayo bowl had me cracking up. Anish was like "WTF have I done" when he put that mayo cookie in his mouth.
