Well, Braylon James, if you are reading these posts, well, sometimes things get sidetracked!

Some of us who follow FOOTBALL rather than internet drivel and pscyhobabble. are comfy that you have established a threshold level of trust
with Chansi Stuckey and the Irish staff.

Here's hoping that your upcoming visit will allow you to do YOUR DUE DILIGENCE on whether or not Notre Dame du lac would be a great place for Braylon James to matriculate for the next four years.

Ignore the charlatans, those who major in minors.

And there are some of us who would trust our own children with Coaches like Marcus Freeman, Tommy Rees and Chans Stuckey.

But Braylon it is YOUR decision that counts.

You are who you are and you will be the player that you, BRAYLON JAMES,. manufactures, website and internet posters notwithstanding.

Oh, Braylon two other things

Have FUN with your decision, even though it is serious
God bless you, young man!

Per his Twitter: "Big News coming this Friday".

I'm guessing Top 23 schools he will be focusing on?
Any update on this? I looked at his twitter, but didn't see anything (to be honest, I'm not twitter savvy, so could have completely missed it).

"Big News" - Top 9

but recruitment is still 100% open

Translation - I don't have a top 9

“He’s trying to implement the Notre Dame principles at LSU in terms of academics and building character”

Another one. MF needs to run up the score on head to head battles versus BK.

On James actually, he interestingly said he think Texas is too close to him and wants to get away so that’s always a good sign. Lot of good on Stuckey, MF, Rees etc as usual.

This might surprise you, but BK is a better coach than Freeman right now. If you gave them both the same team today, BK wins the game. So I wouldn’t worry about running up scores on anybody yet.

Not sure how that relates to recruiting battles of James, Gray, Moore etc. I’ve also been as Pro-BK in the grand scheme of things as any since he left, but he is basically selling ND qualities to every ND/LSU mutual prospect. BK did not establish academics at ND, which is how he’s trying to sell it. He won’t make LSU a higher center of learning because he’s there.

Reaper 97 isn't wrong but this is a very good follow up and context.

But that doesn't really matter if he makes them a higher center of learning.

If it = uptick in recruiting for him then it's working.

Now I don't know if it is or not, but if all things between LSU and Auburn are equal for a kid and he's convinced them some sort of better education, it could be a factor come decision time.

Will be interesting to follow.

Loy bumped his crystal ball up to a 7 and said that he really likes his ND pick.

Probably obvious to most people, but I think it’s safe to say this is all but wrapped up.

An amazing start on the trail for Stuckey.

ISD reporting that they are confident as well, but an announcement may not come for awhile even if a decision is made.

Stucki is making me happy already. Almost anything is better than Del's recent classes but Stucki is fishing for the trophies.

2022 - Tobias M - #122 overall
2021 - Colzie - #102 , Styles #115, Thomas #308
2020 - J. Johnson - #37, Xavier Watts, #389, Brunelle #780
2019 - Cam Hart #644, Kendall Abdur-Rahman #530
2018 - Kevin Austin #82, Braden Lenzy #218 (ATH), Lawrence Keys III #286, Micah Jones #386

That is not a great average or great production.

Starting with a WR as high as Braylon (#76 overall) is a great start. If he stays as highly ranked, he'd be our 2nd highest ranked recruit in the past 6 classes.

That 21 class is the best WR class for ND all time from a rankings perspective so I have a hard time with "Almost anything is better than Del's recent classes".

The last one was certainly a collapse of epic proportions and the others all had their issues but not all fall on Del in my book.

I certainly am hoping for Chansi to pick it up.

James is a perfect example of relationships matter. He had a great one with Chansi at Baylor but was not going to go there. Del wouldn’t give him the time of day before.

Chansi upgrades to South Bend and it’s a wrap

ND wasn't recruiting him at all prior to the staff change or was Del just not building a relationship?

He was offered in May 2021 so I'm curious if this means the new staff likes him more or the new staff recruits better.

“Under Coach BK and Coach Alexander, I had talked to them briefly. I even tried getting up there but there was a mix up with scheduling. I didn’t feel like a priority.”

There was a quote from James saying he really hadn’t talked to Del but maybe twice in his recruitment and now he hears from ND daily.
