EJ Holland is no longer prefacing every clip of Moore at 7-on-7 camps with “could he be a package deal with teammate and scUM commit Semaj Morgan???” Maybe it’s a coincidence, or maybe he knows it’s not going that way now. He was much more focused on Morgan’s highlights than Moore’s yesterday.

ScUM just offered Julian Sayin, along with a couple of other ‘24 QB’s. My hypothesis is that scUM was banking on getting Moore in ‘23, then using the Carr connection to push for CJ as their only focus in ‘24 as a sort of luxury. Why ramp up ‘24 QB recruiting when it appears Moore’s recruitment may be winding down, unless you know you have to transition your sites to an elite ‘24 QB since you aren’t getting your guy in ‘23?

Lastly, the tea leaves are in the way the coverage is shifting. It’s starting to feel like one of those recruitments where one beat takes over as the recruitment starts to trend in that program’s direction.

And I hate to keep leaning on EJ Holland’s erratic social media persona for clues, but he has fully transitioned to the “troll Notre Dame fans at any cost” phase of covering a recruitment, which means he’s feeling insecure and trying to strike back to make himself feel better, since he can’t help but feel personally responsible every time scUM lands a good player.
Makes sense, appreciate it.

It’s also telling he left the Atlanta camp early where Dante is at to fly to Dallas to cover dudes Michigan isn’t getting. And trying to make it seem like Bowen might flip to Michigan just to troll ND fans. Bowen might not end up at ND, but he isn’t even considering Michigan.

Reading about this EJ Holland guy just makes me more grateful we have Loy. We are lucky and should stop trashing his takes.

The subscription for On3 is a dollar for the first year. You can read all the teams’ sites if you subscribe to the ND site. It’s worth the dollar to read the garbage EJ posts to the Kool aid drinking Michigan fans.

They could also be going in on '24 guys because some mentioned that Carr might reclassify to '23, which is apparently his age appropriate grad year.

I haven’t seen Loy’s takes get seriously trashed on IE in a long time. He doesn’t just throw out CB’s all willy nilly like he used to, and his insider info is worth the price for a 247 subscription.

He catches grief, but that’s just because he’s been around the beat for a while, and he’s a fun target because he doesn’t get all riled up like other teams’ reporters when they get challenged.

It has been reported on all the Michigan sites that UM was going 100% all in on Moore & that’s why they weren’t offering other ‘23 QBs & not pushing for ‘24 yet either. They said that if UM started offering other ‘23’s or pushing for Carr to commit & reclassify it was a sign they know they aren’t getting Moore.

Would Michigan be able to get both Moore and Carr back-to-back anyway?

They feel (overconfidently) that they can get Carr no matter what. But then they started offering other ‘24 QBs so they must not be too confident in anything right now.
The OC & QB coaches aren’t even the ones recruiting Moore. It’s their DB coach & WR coach. Evidently Moore isn’t a big fan of Weiss.

They probably can. But also if I'm Moore do I necessarily want to be sandwiched between McCarthy and Carr?

I think Moore likes Weiss based off prior quotes but Weiss doesn’t like recruiting. And both parties have to be honest, Matt Weiss ain’t gonna be there when Moore gets to campus. These NFL guys are fantastic coaches, awful recruiters, and Weiss showed his cards with Harbaugh already.

Everything I’ve read, and talking to my Michigan fan buddy (yes, I have friends that are not ND fans, LOL), it sounds like Moore & Weiss just don’t click. And QB Moore has no relationship with Coach Moore.
So the two guys he should be closest to are the two he really doesn’t talk to.

People were upset he told his readers the "silent CB" even though it's pretty obvious what's going on and that's the right move considering everything. It went on for a couple pages. Dude never gets the benefit of the doubt.

EJ wet his pants in his newest update for Michigan On3:

“The most concerning takeaway…”

“I'm not ready to completely panic, but I'm very, very concerned…”

On the white flag front:

“It's getting into crunch time in this recruitment, and Notre Dame is building up a ton of momentum.”

“There is no way around it — the Notre Dame smoke is very real.”

Lol, I don't know this EJ character but it sure is fun to watch his panicked pivot. I hope this stays quiet from here on out so Michigan fans can be hurt as much as possible.

If this is even remotely true, dude needs to check himself...that's embarrassing.

For those who have II, another positive update by Loy. He continues to stand his ground.
