First thing I told my buddy is Billy B is anything but stupid. I have a real hard time thinking he just misread his texts and fired one off himself as a result.I think Bill Belichick knew what he was doing doing. I think he sent those texts on purpose so they could be used against Goodell and the NFL. Payback for deflategate.
How can anyone read the segregation and slavery comments with a straight face? These players / coaches are making millions of dollars a year to play & coach a damn game.
Flores has zero evidence to support his claims. The vast majority of the NFL Players are African American because its a meritocracy. I'm supposed to believe their is a different standard for coaches and GMs? Giants needed to interview an AA candidate to fill the league's stupid rule. Maybe we should force teams to interview Hispanic players too since they are underrepresented as well.
The Stephen Ross game fixing allegation is far more interesting.
im pretty sure the NFL has the right to fix their games for a while.Especially how the NFL is hitching their wagon to sports gambling. Billions of ad revenue for the NFL is being generated and probably a similar amount of revenue on wagers for the books. Even the allegation of games being fixed could cause significant harm to their bottom lines next season.
Mayer claimed the games were rigged and sought $61.6 million for the cost of tickets for all Jets-Patriots games played at Giants Stadium from 2000 through 2007, when Belichick was coach. He wanted that amount tripled for federal racketeering.
The appeals court said the NFL is in charge of policing its own games, and that officials "did ultimately take action here."
"We do not condone the conduct on the part of the Patriots and the team's head coach, and we likewise refrain from assessing whether the NFL's sanctions ... were otherwise appropriate," Judge Robert Cowen wrote for the court.
But, Cowen said, that doesn't mean fans don't have recourse. "Fans could speak out against the Patriots, their coach, and the NFL itself," he wrote. "In fact, they could even go so far as to refuse to purchase tickets or NFL-related merchandise. ... However, the one thing they cannot do is bring a legal action in a court of law."

When fans tried sueing the NFL during the Pats/Jets Spygate, they were told that their suit had no merit because they received what they paid for = A ticket to the game.
Essentially the ruling was that they paid for entertainment and the NFL provided that regardless if the outcome was fixed or not. Basically, the government likened the NFL to the WWE or F or WCW or whatever it is nowadays.
It's their business and they can do what they want with it. You as a consumer have no rights to how they run their business other than being entertained by their product.

That's fine, but the public is supposed to trust that these games are fair. Just because they have the right to fix games doesn't mean that is the best model for their business, and advertisers/public will make their choices if more comes to light on Flores's allegations. I personally will still watch and play fantasy, but I would definitely hesitate to gamble on it.
If a certain percentage of owners, GMs, coaches, etc have to be black…do a certain percentage of players have to be white? 🤔
Flores should have taken the money and tanked. He’d have Joe Burrow and about $700,000 more in the bank. He should have also had the meeting with Tom Brady.Flores and whoever is advising him has to know his career is over in the NFL now. I applaud what he's doing here if he believes it is right, but he surely has to know the consequences of moving this forward.
This was easily the most bizarre firing of the NFL carousel. Flores doesn't want Tua because Tua sucks but Tua is Miami's guy. I think that's a huge part of this.

How uncomfortable do you think the relationship with McDermott and Daboll is now? lol
Broncos also came out and blasted Flores. Denied they were late for the meeting and looked disheveled like they had been drinking the night before.
His meetings with the Giants and Broncos lasted more than three hours. If those were just to meet the Rooney Rule, I would think two hours would have been plenty of time.
Understand the sentiment but I like the NFL. I hate to say it but if anything needs to burn and potentially start again, it’s college football. Wat too much hypocrisy for me. At least in pro football you know everyone is there for the money.Anyone else just kinda want to see the nfl burn??? If this opens the door then hey,…
I used to love the NFL but im now pretty disgusted with it. Let it burn.Anyone else just kinda want to see the nfl burn??? If this opens the door then hey,…

My only real issue with this is lumping Eric Bienemy in with this. The guy choked a woman and threatened her with gang rape. On top of that, he has a long rap sheet of incidents including, attacking a firefighter while he was fighting a fire, DUI's and fleeing the scene of an accident.
I particularly like it where he compares himself, and what he's doing, to Martin Luther King, Harriet Tubman, et al.That preamble is sanctimonious as hell and might actually hurt how seriously his case is taken by some. Literally nobody but a total moron thinks that the NFL == slavery when the workers fight and claw to be part of the league + they’ve collectively bargained for generational wealth.
But the meat of the case is damning for the NFL if even half of the allegations are true. Match fixing? Tampering? Violations of league rules? None of that bodes well for Ross or the league.
