Jumping the gun a bit...

Seeing how his formal interview isn't till tomorrow this is BS.

It looks like it's going that direction. Irish Insight probably took information from Loy, Driskell, or someone like that things are moving that direction and is falsely saying it is a done deal.

Irish Insight has legit sources. Just because they aren’t a blue check mark doesn’t mean they don’t have sources.

Doesn't explain their claim that Shephard is already a done deal when he hasn't interviewed and Wiggins is suppose to interview too.

hasnt interviewed in person or to public knowledge. An in person interview could just be a formality at this point. Not saying this is the case, I’m just saying don’t discount them because they wouldn’t tweet it if they weren’t very confident in the source especially when reports to the contrary saying he was joining Washington have been widely reported.

Lots of times something is “done” well before the interview formality.

Yes, Shepard hasn’t interviewed, but that doesn’t necessarily mean he hasn’t had extensive conversations about the job or agreed in principle. I have no info here.

Belk is a pretty close fit scheme wise.

These guys understand football. We as fans pigeon hole them based on what they've already run or we perceive them to run schematically, but all that gets covered in interviews and generally most of these guys have more depth than what their titles are and what base defense is attached to them.

You're right, though, he is close to what Freeman already does. He's also being mentioned in connection to Miami, Florida and Oklahoma. This would be a huge hire for ND and would be a great feather in the cap of Freeman as one of his first hires as an HC.

Wiggins putting on a great display why he would be an elite hire. His best two wide receivers are hurt in the national title, oh let me just throw a freshman out there that knows what they’re doing.

Give me any WR coach willing to recruit more than 3 receivers a year when his cupboard is bare and I’ll be happy

Irish insight is going to be right on Sheppard because he's the guy Notre Dame wants and Notre Dame is the job he wants. There have been a lot of conversations between Jamarcus Sheppard and Notre Dame.

But they're basically saying something that is over 90% likely as a done deal . It's not .

You’ve changed your tune. You originally said it’s BS and claiming we use other premium info as our own. Now you’re saying we’ll probably be right.

Progress, I guess.

The WRs didn't have the best game for Alabama last night, but that's absolutely not on Wiggins. A bunch of drops and bad routes, but when you're going into your 3 and 4 deep on a position, against a defense that was playing absolutely lights out, as a freshman, in a national championship, it's kind of to be expected or at least not surprising to have a rough outing. A few real great moves and routes though that Young missed while under pressure, by that same group.

He'd be a knockout hire. I think personally, I would lean more towards Sheppard but either hire I'd be ecstatic over.

Are u saying it’s done as In the agreement’s done, it will be announced soon and no other WR coaches will be interviewed?

I recall reading that Wiggins was going to interview today. Don’t quote me. May have just been chatter but why not. He is just a short drive to South Bend from Indy.

Loy said this week, but he didn't say when. I just assumed it would be today after the NCG. Might happen today in Indy if MF[SUP]2[/SUP] was in attendance last night.

You mind sharing why? I don't know that much about either, so I'm curious why you prefer Shepard.

Irish Insight has legit sources. Just because they aren’t a blue check mark doesn’t mean they don’t have sources.

I don’t doubt he knows a guy, who knows a guy. But it seems like with Freeman and now Shepard, he’s reaching for low hanging fruit, and throwing shit at the wall hoping it sticks. Then he gets to jump up and down saying “I broke it first”!!!!

There are other posters on this board that are much more credible, with valid sources, who don’t try and market themselves as some exclusive insider.

This is a rare situation where I feel like no one really cares who gets it. They are both elite as recruiters and coaches and will take ND to another level. Just get one of them on board so ND can grab some WR transfers.

When I feel like I have a credible source(s), we tweet it out. That’s literally the entire point of the whole thing.

Regarding the Marcus Freeman situation, it wasn’t a “I know a guy, who knows a guy” scenario. We had multiple sources on that front. Regarding Shephard, I’m very confident now. If something changes and we end up being wrong, I’ll be the first to admit it.

I’m not doubting that their are posters on here, like Lax, who have valid sources. I don’t always have a source for everything that happens within the Gug walls. But when I do, I share it.

Irish Insight is a baby, compared to the other sites that are established. This started as a hobby to pass time during Covid. Trying to break news gets our name out there. Sitting on information doesn’t help us get recognition right now.

Bull. You literally, already "broke the news" by announcing that Shepard "will be named the next Wide Receivers Coach at Notre Dame" in your tweet. That's not being confident, that's presenting it as a fact and a done deal. You cant back track on that.

In European Football, they have 5 tiers for journalist reporting, with Tier 1 being top quality and Tier 5 being shitposting. I would put Irish Insight as Tier 6: Dogshit posting.

Chill the f*ck out, dude. Arrow contributes meaningful content to this board. If he's a "tier 6" poster, where does that leave you?

Wtf man?

If IE had tiers of posters, I’d rate you as Tier 6: Dogshit poster.

Quit being such a fantastic douche.

Seems to me the best focus at this point is moving on to the DC, LB position(s).

Any news, I am feeling lazy today and will rely on the mob for my info.

Would Wiggins or Shepard getting hired be a better follow up act between Arrow v Philly
